“Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the
devil’s schemes” (Ephesians 6:11, NIV).

A Word From Billy Graham
“Tremendous principalities, powers and rulers of darkness are at work in our
world at this moment. The Bible indicates that our enemies are powerful. The
Bible describes Satan as the enemy of God and warns us distinctly against Satan
as a cruel adversary: ‘Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls
around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour’ (1 Peter 5:8, NIV).
The archenemy of Jesus Christ is always attacking His followers. No Christian
anywhere in the world is exempt from this great spiritual conflict. God has no
place for spiritual pacifists. Every Christian is conscripted for both defensive
and aggressive warfare. The greatest contribution that you can possibly make as
an individual Christian is to keep up your daily devotions; live a clean,
honest, humble, Spirit-filled life; trust God to guard and protect you morally,
physically and spiritually; then become part of that vocal minority that is
openly and publicly witnessing for Jesus Christ.”

Being Prepared
“We need to be aware of spiritual warfare. A lack of awareness places us at the
mercy of Satan’s influence and often leads to the danger of becoming a casualty
of the war. Being aware of the enemy’s activity leads us to resist and to reject
being pressed into the world’s mold or compromising our obedience by giving in
to temptation. We need to develop a meaningful prayer life. Prayer is the
divinely ordained vehicle that enables us to tap into the power of God and bring
it to bear on our own lives and on our ministry opportunities. Through prayer we
have the privilege of developing spiritual protection to help shield us from
attacks that the enemy sends our way. Our call in Christ is to walk purposefully
and vigilantly for the sake of the Kingdom. We are to be on the move for Christ”
(Bob Beltz).

Prayer
Father, help us each day as we face spiritual warfare. Teach us to become rooted
in Your Word and in the power of Your Spirit. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

billy grahm is awesome, i saw him preach here in my hometown when i was a kid. i also read his biography, and really am a fan. i dig anyone with that kinda passion for jesus.

i like this article you posted here too, it really hits home with me.
some days im just lackadaisical in my prayer and devotion time and my spirit i think really suffers for it.
i like psalm 63,because it talks about thirsting after GOD early in the morning through the night watches, and praising him for his lovingkindness.

if we followed davids example in his thirst for the Lord we'd all be better off...remembering that he is our fortress and strong tower and that he'll never let us down, we need to keep on seeking him, not just initially or in season but through the good and bad times.
god bless-

:sure:

The Lord supplies us with a suit of armor too- a helmet, a breastplate, a shield, a belt, and shoes - to keep us safe from the attacks of our powerful spiritual foes. Paul commanded us to "put on the whole armor of God." If we do, God promises that we will be able to stand against Satan's wiles.

God has provided wonderful protection- but we must be sure to use our armor. Take the helmet of salvation to assure you of your position in Christ, the breastplate to live righteously, and the shield of faith to protect you at all times. Finally, we can be sure to walk in truth and peace.Omitting any part of God's provision invites spiritual injury.

Thank you for that post. Its my favorite verse in Ephesians 6: 11. I cannot leave without God's armor.

Very true , because ....

1 peter 5:8-9
8. your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

thank you for sharing
