Joel 2:28; "It will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions.
Joel 2:29; "Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

Acts 2:17; 'AND IT SHALL BE IN THE LAST DAYS,' God says, 'THAT I WILL POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL MANKIND; AND YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, AND YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, AND YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS;
Act 2:18 EVEN ON MY BONDSLAVES, BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, I WILL IN THOSE DAYS POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT And they shall prophesy.

It's interesting that the scripture from Joel was what was used to explain what was happening in the upper
room on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2; )

I simply have a question here.

Have you ever prophesied? Had a dream from God? Have you ever had a vision?

It ways 'ALL' mankind. So is there anyone who would be left out? Are there any believers who would
be left out? Both your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Young men shall see visions, and old
men will dream dreams. Both men and women shall prophesy.

I suppose I would fall into the last category here. The old men who dream dreams.
I certainly do that :) ...but, I think these aren't just normal dreams, I think these will be dreams
that we will remember and be able to share with others.

God is alive, and moving in this world. Although we tend to look at the problems of our own circumstances
and the decisions our own government is making, God is still in control. Thousands of people are
getting saved everyday all around the world.

If God is alive and moving all around us, is He speaking to you? Are you listening?
Are you having dreams or visions? Are you prophesying?

If not,... are you praying about it and asking God why not?

Both Peter and Paul (as well as a few others) had visions in the new testament.
(Acts 9:10; Acts 10:3; Acts 10:17; Acts 11:5; Acts 16:9-10; Acts 16:9; etc... )

But I notice everytime this happened, the men remembered the vision, and they shared it with the people
around them, or at least the people God told them to share it with.

It causes me to wonder... are visions ever meant to be kept silent?

Not all gifts offered are accepted, just like the saving grace Jesus offers us. So just because its "offered" doesn't mean all will utilize it. I have a very active dream life and have gotten much personal info from the Lord in dream form, praise the Lord for his words to us, "no matter the venue".

Happens quite often at my church.

I have many visions of others but don't share, at all. They just prompt me to discuss with the person. I don't always believe the voices in my head. No offense to the Holy Spirit.

Even the voices in our heads follow dependable rules, they can be judged by their fruit (in this case attitudes or messages). The Holy Spirit doesn't make us hate people, and neither does it curse or go against teachings in scripture. If the voices tell you to do something good, its the Holy Spirit, if its telling us something questionable, don't do it unless scripture supports the action. The simplicity of knowing where the voices come from is obvious if we understand this.
