PROPHECY WAS FULFILLED

PROPHECY WAS FULFILLED
This article is for people (like Chad) and Reformation saints and martyrs of the Inquisition, who believed that the Church of Rome and it’s papacy is that great harlot church, dressed in scarlet and purple, and reigned over kings of the earth described in Revelation.

Prophecy was fulfilled … you likely observed it.
But, you likely did not recognize it as a specific prophetic event taking place, even though described in the Book of Revelation.

I am referring to the “rider on the first white horse” described in Rev 6:2.
And I saw, and behold a white horse; and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

This very charismatic world renown religious/political personage did ride a very unusual white horse and he did have a very distinctive “bow” as described in the Greek of that passage, and his “crown” (as described in the Greek of that passage) was unlike any of the gold and silver crowns of Europe.

He was the “image” of someone that literally died and yet “came back to life” … and he had eyes and a mouth speaking great things. Rev 13:15

He and his followers displayed an identifying “mark” on their right hand and forehead as noted in Rev 13:16 and his titled name did sum at 666 using a most difficult language to arrive at that sum … simple English.

Over a period of 35 years examining biblical suspects, only one summed at 666 … it is that difficult using this world recognized language.

A messianic website gave an example of his name summing at 666 in Hebrew … another showed his name summing at 666 in Latin. A group of “purists” within the Church of Rome refer to him as “Antichrist”.

I believe our “watchmen on the wall” and our prophecy experts were looking in the wrong direction when this came to pass … as their “order of events” did not fit the pattern they had been predicting. Also, they were looking for the “sensational” rather than the biblical.

Would they admit they were wrong in their predictions and claim that this is all just coincidence … that all these things are yet “future”?

Revelation refers to him as the “beast” … one of his titles is “primate”.
Our Lord called him … “Satan”. Mark 8:33
Our Lord asked him three times if he loved Him.
Our Lord stated that his death “in his old age” would glorify God.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee. When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest; but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. John 21:18

Are you old enough to remember when popes were literally carried?
There is a real Peter (and a real Mary) and then there is the blasphemous distortion that the Church of Rome has turned them into.

Calling Peter “Satan” and go tell his disciples … “and Peter” Mark 16:7. These are prophetic clues from our Lord to students of prophecy. Just as in Luke 22:31 wherein Jesus says … Simon Simon, Satan hath “desired to have you”, that he may sift you as wheat.

Every pope is considered to be The “Image and Successor of Peter”.

When pope Paul VI spoke to the gathered reporters prior to his United Nations address he said, “Do you know who I am? My name is Peter.”

When a “papal peter” dies, they merely create another image of the previous one.
When our great God literally destroys Mystery, Babylon (Vatican City) God will truly be glorified. Rev 18:16.

One of Rome’s mighty “miracles” is to change wine into the “literal” blood of Jesus and the priest then drinks it. Do you remember the saints and martyrs of the Inquisition and the Reformation?

For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. Rev 16:6

And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth (the seven hills of Rome) and the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. Rev 17:11

The Vatican Hill is across the river from the seven … the Vaticanus Hill is the eighth. The word “vatic” means … “prophet”.

Vatic = Prophet = Vatican = False Prophet

1978 THE YEAR OF THREE POPES AND BIBLE PROPHECY

The previous pope, Paul VI died.

For the first time in the history of the Church Of Rome, his successor chose a “double name” … Albino Luciani chose the name … John Paul. His reign lasted 33 days and he died … some reports claim murdered.
The search was on for another “papal peter”.

A puff of white smoke rose from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel and the world of Roman Catholicism rejoiced. The Church of Peter was no longer without its “rock”. The Vatican (False Prophet) had successfully caused an image to be made of the previous “head that died”.

And I saw one of its heads as it were wounded to death; and its deadly wound was healed … … Rev 13:3.

The wisp of white smoke indicated that the required 66.6% of the 111 Cardinals present had voted to select their new “Image of Peter”. Shortly after, Cardinal Pericle Felici announced:

“Habemus Papen” – We have a pope – “Qui sibi nomen imposuit Joannes Paulus Secundus” – He has chosen the name JOHN PAUL SECOND.

On Oct. 16, 1978 history was made and prophecy fulfilled. At 6:44 pm

KAROL CARDINAL WOJTYLA ARCHBISHOP OF KRAKOW = 424
(became) POPE JOHN PAUL THE SECOND = 242

John Paul died and yet John Paul rose again.

Just as Jesus came in the name of his Father, our parents determine our “name”. In fulfillment of prophecy, upon the election of a pope, he is asked – “what name do you wish to be called?” He chooses, and therefore “comes in his own name”.

I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. John 5:43. It was unprecedented for a pope to take a double name, but even more so for his successor to take the same double name.

Rome is built upon the myth of the twins (doubles) Romulus and Remus.
Have you wondered about the “repeats” or doubles in Revelation?
“Babylon is fallen, is fallen”. Rev 14:8 and repeated in Rev 18:2

“Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works; in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. Rev 18:6 and later, Standing afar off for the fear of her torment saying Alas, alas that great city Babylon … Rev 18:10

And later, alas alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet. Rev 18:16 and repeated in Rev 18:19

This historic event of a pope taking the previous pope’s same “double” name alerted some students of prophecy, because they remembered the words of Alexander Hislop, the author of “The Two Babylons”.

Regarding the 666 beast, Rev 13:18 tells us that he will have the number of a man. Hislop notes on page 271 that the sense these words have been generally understood is that he will be called by a name that has been borne by some individual man before.

Hislop is mystified by this for he states: “But surely this would be nothing very distinctive – nothing that might not equally apply to innumerable names.”

In most situations, this identifying point would be rather meaningless, but with reference to the papacy, this becomes a fulfillment of prophecy. John Paul II does bear the name of another – he is recognized as “Peter”
and bears the name of his predecessor, the 33 day pope.

Daniel said the beast would be stronger than his predecessors. Dan 7:20
Few would deny that the “man from Poland” was physically and politically “stronger” than previous popes.

This charismatic “Superstar of the Vatican” captivated the world as no other religious or political leader before him. His dynamic personality combines the piety of a saint with the strength of a dictator. If success is rated by power and popularity, then John Paul II sat at the pinnacle.

He will not regard the desire of women. Dan 11:37
He will pass for the most virtuous of men and will conquer (destroy) through a program of “peace”. Dan 8:25
Daniel told us that he will be a traveler – he remains not at home.

John Paul II was the most traveled of all previous popes.

Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, (Rome’s “miracle” of transubstantiation) he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death and cannot be satisfied but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people. Habakkuk 2:5
Is this not a description of universal Romanism?

During his reign there will be an alliance of ten kingdoms or “horns”.

At that time (1983) the EEC (EU) appeared to be nine horns, but the prophecy experts overlooked that the “United Kingdom” consisted of two kingdoms … “Great Britain” is one kingdom comprised of England, Scotland and Wales. When it became “united”, as in “UK” it comprised the two kingdoms officially known as the “United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland”. Perhaps the following is a numerical “coincidence” of the EU ten. Simple English … A=1 B=2 C=3 … Z=26

NETHERLANDS = 120
LUXEMBOURG = 138
DANEMARK = 67 (European spelling)
GERMANY = 83
BELGIUM = 69
GREECE = 43
FRANCE = 47
ITALY = 67
UK = 32
666

His “little horn” (Vatican Kingdom) comes up “among” the ten … not in addition to them as is often claimed by prophecy teachers. Dan 7:8, 24

By authority or persuasion, he subdues three of those horns, but seven willingly consent to his (religious) authority. Seven of those EEC (EU) nations were predominantly Roman Catholic, two Protestant and one Greek Orthodox.

He will exercise authority in many nations. Rev 13:8
His city, Vatican City (Mystery, Babylon) has reigned over kings of the earth. Rev 17:18

When this great personage burst upon the world scene, he did not appear as the beast, but as a man whom the world adored. Those who recognized him from scripture were not believed. Christianity shunned those who would call such a “saintly” person the 666 “beast”.

When John Paul II toured the United States, President Carter greeted him with “God blessed America by sending you to us.” Billy Graham stated “He’s the most respected religious leader in the world today.”

Daniel informed us that “arms will stand on his part”. Dan 11:31
I, like many others thought this to mean a “weapon”.

Examination of the Hebrew text of that phrase reveals this to mean that his arms are “outstretched”. Strongs [HASHTAG]#2220[/HASHTAG] This unusual identification was one of John Paul II’s “trademarks”.

He (being a former actor) knew how to move the masses. He would raise his arms in the form of a bow to urge on and acknowledge the adulation of the gathered multitudes.

He was the “rider on the white horse” of Rev 6:2 with crown and bow.
His white “popemobile” was a converted Ford “Bronco” in the US and on his weekly rounds at Saint Peter’s Square, it was a white Land Rover.

Might John of Patmos describe his vision of a "popemobile" as a “rider on a white horse”?

At this time, rather than go deeper into the “mark of the beast” and the “image of the beast” I will conclude with the “bow and crown” of Rev 6:2.

And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. Rev 6:2

The identifying key to this passage is the bow and the crown.
Surprisingly, some prophecy teachers have actually referred to this bow as … a weapon.
You have likely read that claim yourself.

Those who were looking for a military type 666 beast erred in reasoning that the bow was a weapon. Of the five NT occurrences, four of them mean to bend or to “bow down” … that was John Paul II’s distinguishing trademark … upon his arrival at the host country, he would “bow” to the ground and kiss it.

The fifth and final occurrence of this word is found in our verse under discussion.
Oddly enough, its use in this particular verse means neither “weapon” nor to “bow” down.
This particular “bow” is from the Greek form meaning … cloth.

This rider on the white horse is a … “man of the cloth”.

The specific word “crown” of this rider is from the Greek “stepho” meaning to “twine or wreathe”.
This rider on the white horse of religion is in some way associated with “cloth that is wreathed”.

That is a perfect description of the papal … “Triple Crown”.
It is unlike any of the solid gold or silver crowns of Europe.
According to the New educator Encyclopedia Vol 9 page 3575 It is … “weaved of cloth of gold”.

Not only that, but it is claimed by some Rome watchers that at one time this “Triple Tiara” displayed the Latin phrase “Vicarius Filii Dei” on it and that phrase in Latin summed at … 666 … just as the six original Latin letters … I V X L C D = 666.

Note the following passage in Revelation.

And the great city (Vatican City) was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. Rev 16:19

The Vatican’s “Triple Crown” signifies her authority in 3 places or parts.
1. on earth
2. in heaven
3. in hell

Evidence has been presented. Who will believe my report?

The papal “image” was described and came to pass.
The 666 numbered beast was described and came to pass.
Note that God does not state the language to be used for the counting in Rev 13:18

He could have said … use the numeric gematria of Hebrew … or the isophezia of Greek to count the number, but He did not.

A logical reason for not stating the language to be used is that it was not in existence in the day of John of Patmos, but is to be the language common to Christians concurrent with the arrival of the beast.

There is considerable mathematical evidence to indicate that the language is “simple English gematria” wherein A=1 … Z=26, but that is a story for another time.

Where is the “mark of the beast” located and how are the followers of the beast identified? On the right hand and forehead of the followers of the beast that receive and make this sign or mark. Rev 13:16

With his right hand, the priest dips his thumb into the water and places the mark (charagma … “sign of the cross”) upon the forehead of the infant followers of the beast at their baptism.

On Ash Wednesdays, with his right hand, the priest dips his thumb into the wood ashes and places the mark upon the forehead of the adult followers of the beast. This is where the term being “under the thumb” originated.

Preterists claim Mystery Babylon is Jerusalem and Historicists claim it is Vatican City. I believe God is going to destroy that city sooner than most prophecy teachers expect. If so, they will then be saying … how can this be? … where is the mark of the beast, the speaking image and the numbered beast? … those things were supposed to appear before God destroys that great city! Perhaps then, they may (?) understand.

Can you provide another person in history that aligns the Revelation description as closely as Pope John Paul II? Does Nero of the preterist? Does Obama of the futurist? To summarize:

JP II rode a white “horse”. Had a distinctive “bow” as noted in the Greek of Rev 6:2 and would display it at his arrival at the host country. He had a specific “crown” that was wreathed of “cloth of gold” and this Triple Tiara crown displayed his authority in three places … heaven, hell and upon the earth.

He spearheaded the downfall of Communism in Poland and was a world recognized political and religious leader whose “name” summed at 666.

He and his followers display an identifying sign on their right hand and forehead, and he is the speaking “image” of another that has died before him … that is, a previous “papal peter”.

Jesus referred to the one JP II represents as “satan” and stated that his final death (destruction of mystery Babylon and the Church of Peter) would bring glory to God. John 21:18

Does my article answer all of our questions?
Definitely not … but it does attempt to match up some of the identifying points presented to us in Revelation. Can you supply a better match?

It is said … if it were possible even the very elect would be deceived.
Might we have unknowingly, been under some deception?

In that the above article is about subjects within Revelation, I would appreciate if if you would attempt to stay within that content and use the terms used in Revelation ... first beast, second beast or false prophet, numbered beast etc..

I have found that injecting terms outside of Revelation, such as "the wicked one", "man of sin", "man of lawlessness", "antichrist" and other terms can lead a sensible discussion down many diverse rabbit trails eventually leading away from the subject under discussion.

Please receive this request as constructive rather than as criticism.

My first read of your article has these concerns:
First, most of the statements made by you are unsupported by evidence. That's not to say they aren't true rather you just didn't provide any backup for fact checking. It's like me saying the sun produced a solar flare at 12:30 PM on January 1st. It may be true but there's no evidence provided to either confirm or deny the accuracy of the statement. In short, to make your statements credible you'll have to cite a reference - otherwise it's nothing more than opinion or conspiracy theory.
Second, most of the conclusions you've drawn are opinions. If they are opinions, they are not proof.
Third, did you do all of this research on your own, or are you repeating something you've read or heard? If so, would you care to reveal your source?
Lastly, it's very dangerous to quote one scripture (or part of a scripture) and make a complete hypothesis based on it. You must read the scripture in total assessing all of it together..

Don't read my comments as a judgment on your article. I'd like to check the facts for myself, free of opinion, and come to some conclusion as to its validity. It is an interesting thread deserving of some consideration.

Oops ... not too computer savvy.

Yes ... it is my article based upon personal research.
The article is far too long as it is for a discussion forum, so to provide back up evidence and citation for the claims made was not its purpose. It was written for those who have a good knowledge of Revelation and the various eschatological positions of others.

I was a futurist for ten years ... my son-in-grace pastors a very conservative Reformed church in the US and they are partial preterist in their interpretation of Revelation.

As you can see, my position is now historicist.
Please research the "bow and crown" of Rev 6:2 as I would be interested in your opinion on that subject.

Of the four common positions, which one do you personally hold to?
Full preterist, partial preterist, historicist or futurist?

You may agree that when discussing the book of Revelation, much if not many conclusions by prophecy authors is "opinion".

Yes ... it is my article based upon personal research.
One of the hazards of personal research is you begin to believe that only you have the answer, only you know what to look at and only your evaluation is relevant. This is not a criticism, just a caution. What I thought I saw in your article was that you had a predetermined outcome and then did all you could to prove it true. That's a great effort, but the words of others may prove your research to be in error or it may confirm it entirely. Your reluctance to insert the references doesn't give the rest of us a chance to look at what you're looking at, analyze it, then render our own opinions in the matter.

Yeah, but you have to remember that ALL of your audience here is not at the doctorate level. Therefore you must address those most likely to read it.

Definition of "historicist" from the Wikipedia dictionary: In Christianity, the term historicism refers to the confessional Protestant form of prophetical interpretation which holds that the fulfillment of biblical prophecy has taken place throughout history and continues to take place today; as opposed to other methods which limit the time-frame of prophecy-fulfillment to the past or to the future. The historicist method is what led reformers throughout Europe to declare that the Pope was the man of sin sitting on the seven hills of Rome.

I don't associate myself with any of the groups you've mentioned, I don't see any value in it. I prefer "believer" and just leave it at that. I did note with curiosity that last sentence of the definition. It goes a long way in explaining where you're coming from.

Please research the "bow and crown" of Rev 6:2 as I would be interested in your opinion on that subject.
With respect to your "bow and crown" comments:
There are only two words translated from the Greek into English with the spelling "bow."
The first is Strong's G2578 meaning to "bend, bow, the knee (the knees)" This word is clearly not the usage in Rev 6:2 as the context of the verse has nothing to do with penance, worship nor paying tribute to anyone or anything.
The second is Strong's G5115 which only has one meaning "a bow." The word is clearly a weapon and its usage aligns perfectly with the context of the verse it's in. There is no definition of the word that means "cloth" as you say (unless you can show where you came up with it.)

I believe prophecy to be a simple matter, really. Once you get the piece oriented in the right way, it fits into the puzzle real easy. If you have to hammer it into place by twisting the piece until you think it fits, it'll be wrong every time. Any solution you come up with must fit in EVERY way for it to be a valid solution - there can't be any yeah-buts. That doesn't mean you have to have all the pieces, it just means that the ones you have must fit exactly.
What I'm saying is that you may have a valid argument, but at this point there are several problematic areas (yeah-buts) you need to address. Don't be afraid to re-work the whole thing.
