Prison penpal is it a wise decision

I have been thinking about being a pen pal to someone who is in prison. I thought about sharing Gods word and just chating. I would love advice from anyone on this before i start.
I have a few questions such as - do you give your address to them etc

I'd like to point out that there is absolutely no harm in doing this. You can become a tremendous blessing to this person and help them to get to know Christ. Dying without Jesus is the greatest, eternal harm after all
 
i had a chat with dreamer and posted my first letter yesterday including some poems and lovely scripts from the bible
