I have studied the 'End Times' for a long time. I've listened to all the opinions and interpretations, and have come to my own belief of God's layout for this period which is a little different than most:

The Basics:
1. God's Decree (Daniel 9:24-27). This is the foundation on which all other prophetic verses are built on.
We all know that there is just 1 'week' left. But this is where I switch paths of the most popular view that the 70th week is the tribulation period. NO WHERE else in the Bible will you find the 70th 'week' mentioned again, and NO WHERE do you find that the Tribulation lasts the entire 7 yrs. There are only 2 connections that the rest of the Bible has with this passage: The Abomination That Causes Desolation & 3.5 yrs. To say that the Tribulation period is 7 yrs is an assumption that I can't make - even if it is seperated from the other 69 'weeks'.

2. The Rapture & The 2nd Coming.
Definitly 2 seperate events. One thing for sure; it is not post-trib. The only arugument I can see for a PRE 70th 'WEEK' (notice how I stated that) rapture is that the church was not here for the first 69 'weeks' (and I find this a strong argument for that position).

3. Tribulation.
Sorry, I can't find that the Bible seperates Tribulation & Great Tribulation, or any other word / phrase that the Bible may use for differentiating in segmenting the 70th 'week'. I find that it pertains to 1 thing, and 1 thing only: The Scroll that Jesus opens in Rev. 5.
I see the ATCD as the catalyst, or 'the last straw' for Jesus to open the Scroll and let His judgement pour forth. Jesus does nothing 'for the fun of it', or nothing in vain. There has to be a reason, motive or 'cause' for Jesus to open up the Scroll; and why is this act of the AC called the 'Abomination That Causes Desolation'? It seems that scripture is telling us plain and loud that what the AC does to Christ's temple is more than God can take: :secret:Jesus: "That's it!! Hand me the the Scroll!!!

- I can't say I'm pre-trib; cause ppl think I'm saying pre-70th 'week'.
- I can't say I'm mid-trib; cause to me, Tribulation refers to the events of the Scroll exclusively, and believe the Bible states we are protected (raptured) from that.
- and post-trib makes no sense at all.
So I guess I hold to a Pre-Scroll rapture view.

I posted this on another site:

There are so many things wrong with a post trib rapture. First off, if it was a post-trib; there would be NO event called the 'Rapture'. It would all be part of the '2nd coming' event. It absolutely makes no sense to have a rapture of God's church during the 2nd coming. I sure wouldn't want to bypass Jesus in mid air as He is coming down and I am going up; and then to all of a sudden to turn around and join Him back on the earth. Under this scenario, it would make no sense for God to have a rapture plan; just a resurrection of the dead, and we would just all join with Jesus as He sets foot on the earth one last time.

The Bible states that there is going to be 2 events. And to be 2 events; they have to be seperate events. Both very different in DESIGN & PURPOSE.

God is not one to do things just for the 'fun of it'! God does nothing in vain!
That brings us to the biggest Q of all: What IS the purpose of the Rapture??????!

Ask these Q's:
What is God's purpose for the rapture?
What is God's motive for designing such an event?
Why is there going to be this ONE TIME event for the evacuation / removal of the church?
Why would God need 144,000 & Angels & 2 witnesses for declaring the gospel IF the church is still here during the Trib?
How has God done similar events in the past?
How is this plan carried out?: With hoards of angelic troops? With horses? With swords, with a mutitude of heavenly host shouting the battle cry?
- or -
Is it 'stealth like': Jesus coming in the clouds, with 1 angel (Michael), and 1 trumpet blast
Again, why would we go up to meet Him in the air if He is enroute to coming to earth?

The Bible is not a 'code' book. It is not a devinci code, nor is it a computer program (all of which I think is how some ppl generally approach interpreting the End Times - looking for #'s, exact phrasing, code words, etc) .
The Bible is written by a God who has a personality, who has emotions, who has cause & reason, purpose & design, motives &
