Recently, i've been doing a lot of studying of the bible, mostly to find out about the law. I found my answer to the question I had before, but in the process, so many different views got in my head. Because most of my studies were from the Tanakh, I looked up some things from Messianic Judaism for some help, but I ran into so many people who were arguing against them. They seemed to have such a greater understanding of scripture than I, and Its making me have some annoying doubts about how strong my faith is. Specifically the testimonies of those in Jews for Judaism are incredibly disheartening to me. I just ask that you would keep me in your prayers that I would know what is right and what is not, and that my faith is always grounded in the TRUTH of our Lord.

EDIT: Also, please pray that I can talk with God again, I haven't been able to recently because I've not known what to believe and its eating me apart.

Hi xv2000. How is it going my brother.
The Law was a tutor to show man that he could never please God in his own strength. Jesus fulfilled the Law for us and we are now under grace.
I understand you are going through what I call a dry spell. These are not pleasant but they do pass. Typically (in my experience) one of a few things is going on, it can be one, a combination of these or even all off these:

God withdraws the manifestation of His presence (though He is still there) to cause us to hunger after Him all the more. This causes us to seek His face and brings only a deeper walk.

We have a guilty conscience about something and are underestimating His grace, love and forgiveness. He loves us in Christ, that is to say He loves us with the same absolute love He has for His Son.

The last and most common factor is simply being to busy to spend time in fellowship with Him. The things of our lives, jobs, family, etc can keep us so busy that we simply do not take the time to spend with the One who loves us. Even studying the Word or serving Him without this fellowship is empty and dry.

I am not saying any of these specifically fit your situation but I did feel lead to share so I did just that.
The way I usually break through that feeling of dryness (or any other feeling that separates me from Him) is to find some good worship music and spend a couple of hours pressing in, pouring out my love for Him. This has never failed to bring me so close that I could hear His heartbeat.
Just remember that all the distraction of life, plans and ploys of the enemy are for one purpose- to separate you from the only One who can really help.
We must remember that we were created to fellowship with Love and Love is never satisfied until we come into intimate communion. He will never leave you nor forsake you and it is His heart's desire to be a part of every aspect of you life. That my friend is why He sent Jesus to pay your price.
I will be praying for you.
Much love and many blessings in Jesus Name,
your brother Larry.

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Joh 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Very well said Boanerges, only thats not what I call a dry spell, thats a spell of confusion

To put it short and simple xv2000, the mistake you are making is one many many make. You are focusing on your "grounding in the TRUTH of our Lord" instead of just focusing on the LORD. (HE is truth btw, you cant get closer to truth than that)

You will see that it makes all the difference in the world when the LORD is given the capital emphasis.

D ear brother...and friend in Jesus.

I have read your O.P. and my heart reaches out to you....in Jesus

Regarding the Salvation of you and I......Jesus is the main man....The Saviour, .. the only Saviour. An old song says.....He died that we might be forgiven....etc......

These inspired words are so true.

Scripture has been quoted in answer to your question... I concur with such

Meet the Master....Jesus....you will never be lost in the fog of religeous thought again
