Pray for Christian missionaries

I was insired by abigya's thread on praying for pastors, and I want to take it one step further and pray for the Christian missionaries of our churches and of this world. Being a missionary requires a couple to die to themselves, and to take up their cross in a foreign and alien enviroment for the gospel of Christ. This past month a good friend of mine was sent to La Paz, Bolivia to preach the gospel, this is a city completely uninhabited by the gospel, where witchcraft has gripped this poor and desperate people, this city holds one of the largest witchcraft markets in the world, where you can buy all sorts of demonic objects. I want to lift up this city that God will pour out His grace over it and open the eyes of these blinded people. Also another man I knew and respected was sent to Columbo, Sri Lanka to preach the gospel, and I don't even have to say how lost the people in this nation are. Please pray for missionaries, they need all the prayer they can get!

Lord Jesus we pray for that great army of people who have left the comforts of home to reach, and to be a blessing to those in hardship and need.

So many come to mind, that relate to our own local churches.

Lord Jesus bless all serving you in foreign lands today. Prosper them Lord, meet the needs, and give them joy in serving Jesus
