Prayer must be exact in order to be answered . Though the Lord Jesus knows our hearts, He assumes nothing. We must ask. Then we must do our part .
Matthew Chapter 20 verses 29-33. The healing of two blind men. How clear the lesson is. They called loudly and persistently to Him. He asked what they wanted. He gave the healing - THEN they followed Him. Only when He gave them sight could they follow Him.
This gives insight into how we can do it too. In that order.
So how do you pray? I admit I waffle on and on at times, I even bore myself! Only when I summarise my real need do I find help comes. Spell it out. If your request is according to the will of God, He will answer. The answer may not be clear immediately, but it will be once you think about it. It might not be as you wish, but we must accept God's judgment is way superior to ours. He knows what is really good for us.
