Can be anything, even from Christian bands.
Please try not to duplicate.
Must have both title and lyrics.
You can post as much as you want.

Lord I lift your name on high

Lord I lift Your Name on High,
Lord I love to sing Your praises,
I'm so glad You're in my life,
I'm so glad You came to save us.

You came from Heaven to Earth,
To show The Way,
From the Earth to The Cross,
My debt You paid,
From The Cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky,
Lord I lift Your Name on High!

Musicians

Hi David_james,
Great to have that song, we are so blessed with so many great modern worship songs PLUS all those great hymns of old! Reminds me, I want to look out a hymn to post here.

Also, you might like to take a look in the Musicians forum!

God bless,

Mark.

By gracious powers

This hymn was written by Dietrich Bonhoeffer whilst he was in a Nazi prison. He was executed shortly before the Allies reached Berlin. When this hymn was sung at the church I attended then, it was the only time I am positive I could hear angels singing too.

By gracious powers so wonderfully sheltered,
And confidently waiting come what may,
we know that God is with us night and morning,
and never fails to greet us each new day.

Yet is this heart by its old foe tormented,
Still evil days bring burdens hard to bear;
Oh, give our frightened souls the sure salvation
for which, O Lord, You taught us to prepare.

And when this cup You give is filled to brimming
With bitter suffering, hard to understand,
we take it thankfully and without trembling,
out of so good and so beloved a hand.

Yet when again in this same world You give us
The joy we had, the brightness of Your Sun,
we shall remember all the days we lived through,
and our whole life shall then be Yours alone.
