Please Lord, give me a cloak.

Let it cover me completely Lord
From head to toe

I need it to be like you Lord
My skin is in the weather
I need it for protection Lord
It will make everything better

Give me a cloak Lord, let be white like snow
Don't give me a cape Lord, it won't work
Give me a cloak Lord, I need to know

Your arms are around me Lord, I know they are
Problem is I can't feel them Lord, it's so sad
I need a cloak Lord, so I won't keep feeling bad

Give me the best cloak Lord, like that guy in the Bible
Let it cover me Lord, and please don't let anyone steal it
I need your cloak Lord, so I won't be weak
I need that cloak Lord, to know I'm meek

Give me the cloak Lord, to give me strength
Give me the cloak Lord, to help me make sense
Give me the cloak Lord, so I won't ask for more
Give me the cloak Lord, you are the cloak I adore

Cover me Lord, with the cloak I need
Cover me Lord, so I won't be cold
Cover me Lord, because I am cold

Please give me a cloak Lord, to help with the rain
Please give me a cloak Lord, to help with the pain
Please give me a cloak Lord, to ease the strain
Please give me a cloak Lord

Lord, the cloak needs to be big and strong
Lord, the cloak needs to be white and bright
Lord, the cloak needs to be mine for now
Lord, the cloak needs to be Jesus Christ

Lord, give me a cloak please, I am at your feet
My head is low and my knees are bent
I need you to cover me with the cloak of strength
Make the illness and troubles fold, wrap the cloak around me
Keep me near you when I don't know
Don't let me fall and don't let me go

Give me a cloak Lord, please Lord today, I need all this hurt and bad things to go away.

Praise God, as I read this all I could say is Holy Holy is Our Lord God almighty. Brother you're always in my prayers. Your honesty to God is beautiful, I love your poem.

You have a heart of worship, God bless you and may he increase your wisdom and spiritual fruits. I believe God will grant you with more than a cloak.

God bless you too sister, I'm sitting here with a huge grin on my face, not because you sisters like the poem, but because I finally took the time to google infirmities and see what the word means, and I've come to realize that my pain is really there for a reason, for the power of Christ, haha!
