Yesterday on 8-7-07, I went to spend a day with a Physical Therapist because I'm majoring this in college and I wanted to see if I would like it or not. After going with him, I believe God could use me in this field to spread the gospel and I would like to share just some of my experiences that day.
The Physical Therapist Assistant(PTA) guy I went with is the kind where they have to drive to peoples houses. So we went to about 4 or 5 peoples houses. He told me he liked going to peoples houses more than just sitting in an office and letting them come to you because you make more of a relationship when you go to them.
I met one of the sweetest ladies that day. We went to her house and Lee(the PTA) asked her what the doctor said about how she was doing. She raised her head up and looked at him with watery eyes and said "well he told me plainly.....to get ready because it's likely I'm going to die soon." But then she said, "and you know what? I'm not dreading it a bit." She told us she hated leaving her grandchildren behind, but she was ready to go be with the Lord. Then she started talking about how good God is and how wonderful heaven will be. I was about to cry and I just wanted to shout the house down because it was such a blessing to hear that woman talk about the Lord like that. The PTA started quoting verses to her like "to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21. It was just so wonderful to be around Christians like that.
I'm glad I took that day to see how it will be like working as a PTA. I'm pretty sure this is God's will and I pray that I can lead some of my patients to Christ when I start working. Maybe I could help them get their muscles stronger, but I could also tell them about a man that can save them from going to an eternal Hell and I believe that is far more important. I just pray God will use me anyway he wants in my life. I want to live for Christ till the day I die and I pray that I can lead as many people to the Lord as I possibly can. That is the main thing for me in my life.
I'm starting college this month on 8-27-07. My college is close, so I'll still be home and I'll still be able to get on here. Please just pray that I do good in college and God's will be done with me.
