8 Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,
9 Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
8 We should have a boldness in the Lord, while we are to be humble of who we are we also need to be bold about who He is and serve Him with both a humble heart and boldness of actions. God often wants us to be bold as He often leads us out of our areas of comfort.
9 We are to do out of love, we serve the Lord out of love and thru our love for each other we truly help each other by Christ leading us. Paul was still bold but was just now locked up because of the faith, he was arrested for sharing the gospel and became a prisoner because of Christ and Paul is bold and glad about this. We need to find boldness and gladness where God places us instead of looking to move to find it.
