Peter didn't preach that Jesus died for all.

[Luke 18:32 KJV] "For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:"
[Luke 18:33 KJV] "And they shall scourge [him], and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again."
[Luke 18:34 KJV] "And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken." ********** Peter could not preach Jesus died for all if he didn't understand Christ's death.

[Luke 24:44 KJV] "And he said unto them, These [are] the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and [in] the prophets, and [in] the psalms, concerning me."
[Luke 24:45 KJV] "Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures," ******* After his resurrection, Jesus opened Peter's understanding of his death as foretold by the prophets

Here are some verses in the prophets that spoke of Christ's death:

[Genesis 3:15 KJV] "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

[Daniel 9:26 KJV] "And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof [shall be] with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined."

[Psalm 22:15 KJV] "My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death."

[Psalm 16:10 KJV] "For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption."

The prophets did not speak of Christ's death as being for all.

[1 Peter 2:24 KJV] "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." ********* Peter's understanding was opened to Isiah. Isaiah spoke only Of Christ's death being for Israel. Peter was saying that Christ only died for Israel's sin ************* [Isaiah 53:8 KJV] "He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken."

Your argument does not follow logically or scripturally.

Yes, Peter initially did not understand Christ’s death before the resurrection (Luke 18:34). But after the resurrection, Jesus opened the apostles’ understanding (Luke 24:45). Peter’s earlier ignorance says nothing about what he later understood and preached.

You then claim that because Isaiah 53 says “my people,” Christ only died for Israel. But that ignores the wider context of scripture and Peter’s own ministry.

Peter was specifically sent to Israel first (Galatians 2:7-8), so naturally many of his sermons addressed Jews. That does not prove Christ died only for Jews any more than Paul preaching to Gentiles proves Christ died only for Gentiles.

Peter himself later acknowledged that God was saving Gentiles too:

Acts 10:34-35:
“God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.”

Acts 10 was a massive correction to Jewish exclusivism. Peter learned that salvation was not limited ethnically to Israel.

You are also ignoring Peter’s universal language:

2 Peter 3:9:
“The Lord is... not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

That is the exact opposite spirit of Calvinistic limitation.

And the strongest problem with your argument is this: Isaiah 53 saying Christ was stricken “for my people” does not mean “ONLY for my people.” The Messiah came through Israel and first ministered to Israel, but the Old Testament also repeatedly says salvation would reach the nations.

Isaiah 49:6:
“I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

Even Peter himself says in 1 Peter 2:24 that Christ “bare our sins.” If you want to force “our” into meaning “only Israel,” then by consistency you would also have to say Gentiles cannot be saved at all — which completely contradicts Acts 10 and the entire New Testament.

You are inserting a Calvinistic assumption into the text you selected, rather than drawing one from it.

[Luke 24:45 KJV] "Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures," ************* Jesus only expounded that He would be crucified and rise again. Isaih would reveal his death for Israel. Jesus would not have revealed his death for all because that was a mystery not revealed at that time.

You then claim that because Isaiah 53 says “my people,” Christ only died for Israel.
[Exodus 3:7 KJV] "And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which [are] in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;" ******* Only Israel was in Egypt
Paul never uses that term for us or Gentiles

The Messiah came through Israel and first ministered to Israel, but the Old Testament also repeatedly says salvation would reach the nations.
Gentiles could always become proselytes
Gentiles will be blessed in the millennial kingdom
In this dispensation grace is offered to all
