The parable of the wheat and the tares (weeds) is followed a few paragraphs later by an explanation of the parable.

And in the explanation, the Lord makes it clear that there are children (sons) of the kingdom of Heaven and children (sons) of the Devil, Satan.

Holy Bible - Matthew 13:36-43 (ESV)
36 Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.” 37 He answered, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, and the good seed is the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. 40 Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, 42 and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

Now the questions are who are the sons of the kingdom, and the sons of Satan?

In the following verse, God talks about the children of Satan and the children of Eve. That means Satan has fathered children in the world. And there's nothing in the Holy Bible that indicates he ever stopped having children with females on earth. The Devil's children walk the earth today.

Holy Bible - Genesis 3:15 (ESV)

15 I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring[a] and her offspring;
he shall bruise your head,
and you shall bruise his heel.”

Hmmmm.... this seems to be coming up a lot lately. There was another thread recently about people being "born saved".

We are not naturally the "children of God". We have to be "born again" in order to qualify. God is a spirit, we have to be born of the Spirit.

Now we don't have be "born again" to be children of the devil. What makes someone a child of the devil?

John 8:44; "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

I suppose we are all "naturally" the children of satan. But I wonder if there comes a time when we "choose" to be.
Some people never hear about Jesus. But many people hear about Jesus and reject Him. Who's children do these people become at that point?

There are only two Kingdoms that oppose each other. The Kingdom of light, and the kingdom of darkness. There is no middle earth neutral area.
The scriptures say at one time we were once "darkness", but now we are "light" in the Lord. (Eph 5:8) Light would be considered as sons of the kingdom, and tares (darkness) would be the sons of the devil.

I read this as God judging His House at the pre great trib rapture event at the end of this world as we know it to be before it changes to that world of the great tribulation that is coming. It is not about judging the whole world when it is about removing out of His kingdom all that offends which is any believer in unrepentant iniquity as they are left behind ( Luke 12:40-49 & Revelation 2:18-29 ) when that fiery judgment ( 2 Peter 3:3-15 ) falls on the earth afterwards which serves as a catalyst for the coming great tribulation immediately afterwards. This is where the vessels unto dishonor comes from that are in His House in 2 Timothy 2:18-21 for why even former believers are called to repent or else become castaways because Jesus Christ is faithful by still being in them ( 2 Timothy 2:13 ). Those who go astray and follow the stranger's voice ( John 10:1-5 ) are the sheep that He must bring in John 10:16 for why they will hear His voice literally as the King of kings when they are resurrected to meet Him ON earth after the great tribulation which is after He has touched down on the Mount of Olives and had defeated the world's armies and had casted Satan into the pit for a thousand years. That means they are not meeting the Lord in the air but on earth when they are resurrected at the end of the great tribulation.

God will be judging His House first ( 1 Peter 4:17 ) and so the removal of all those that offend in His kingdom is why saved believers that are not ready because they were found in iniquity are casted out to be received later on as vessels unto dishonor in His House, but He is faithful in keeping the souls of those saints left behind as they will not be taking the mark of the beast during the great tribulation, but the Lord Jesus Christ will help them face death when it comes..

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

As Matthew 3:43 dictates, only the Lord can help those to hear His words for what He actually meant. The sons of the wicked one are the ones that have gone astray as prophesied ( 1 Timothy 4:1-2 ) and even the church at Thyatira as those who utter the depths of Satan for which they do speak in Revelation 2:18-29 that if they do not repent, they shall be cast into the bed of the great tribulation. So that is how I read Matthew 13:36-43 to be applied towards as it goes beyond the iniquity that the church at Thyatira was committing to any unrepentant iniquity that a saved believer that is still in at the time of His appearing.

Think of it in the terms for which a church is to excommunicate unrepentant saved believers for.

1 Corinthians 5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Now if they repent, they are allowed back into fellowship, but when God comes to judge His House, that is the final judgment by which they become vessels unto dishonor but still in His House only to miss out on the Marriage Supper above. That will cause weeping and gnashing of teeth for not being received as a vessel unto honor in His House which is the eternal glory that comes with our salvation in Christ Jesus. So as the church does in hopes of leading an unrepentant brother to repentance, so will God do, but as a final judgment on what kind of inheritance a saved believer would be receiving which is either as a vessel unto honor or as a vessel unto dishonor in His House.

If you are having trouble believing that to be that definitive, all of Jesus's warnings is to the believers; not to the world; in being ready to go. No one in unrepentant iniquity is allowed to have fellowship in the church; and they are not even allowed to eat with such a unrepentant believer in that assembly, and so that is why and how God will be judging His House at the pre great trib rapture event.

1 Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

So that is why God will be judging His House at the pre great trib rapture event for why many saved believers will be left behind for being in unrepentant iniquity still as they will not be allowed to sit at the Marriage Supper table then.

Jesus speaking to his followers used a parable to liken the Kingdom of Heaven, in the last days.

Mat 13:24 He put another parable before them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field,
Mat 13:25 but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away.
Mat 13:26 So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also.
Mat 13:27 And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, 'Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?'
Mat 13:28 He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' So the servants said to him, 'Then do you want us to go and gather them?'
Mat 13:29 But he said, 'No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them.
Mat 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.'"

Jesus used a parable likened unto a man who sowed “good” seed, and then later his enemy came, and sowed bad seed (weeds). Wheat and weeds look just like each other at first growth until the wheat begins to sprout, and then they are easy to tell the difference between the two. Jesus will then tell his “reapers” at the “Harvest” to go and get the wheat and put it into “HIS BARN”

Notice: the weeds are gathered together “TO BE BURNED”. They are not burned yet, they are just gathered “TO BE BURNED”, but the “wheat are put into his barn!!!! If this is not talking about the “RAPTURE” of the Church I don't know what is!! While the wheat has already been gathered, and taken, and put into God's Kingdom, the weeds are only being prepared to be burn!!!

Later on Jesus's disciples ask him to explain once again the meaning of this parable. This time Jesus changes things to reflect the time in which the weeds are to be burned.

Mat 13:36 Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And HIS DISCIPLES CAME TO HIM, SAYING, "EXPLAIN TO US THE PARABLE OF THE WEEDS OF THE FIELD."
Mat 13:37 He answered, "The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
Mat 13:38 The field is the world, and the good seed is the sons of the kingdom. THE WEEDS ARE THE SONS OF THE EVIL ONE,
Mat 13:39 and THE ENEMY WHO SOWED THEM IS THE DEVIL. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.
Mat 13:40 JUST AS THE WEEDS ARE GATHERED AND BURNED WITH FIRE, so will it be at the end of the age.
Mat 13:41 The SON OF MAN WILL SEND HIS ANGELS, AND THEY WILL GATHER OUT OF HIS KINGDOM ALL CAUSES OF SIN AND ALL LAW-BREAKERS,
Mat 13:42 AND THROW THEM INTO THE FIERY FURNACE. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 13:43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

Notice: Jesus does not mention the wheat here because they are already gone, but the weeds are NOW being burned, and that will be at the end of the “age” (world), but not so for his Church!!

There is today a gathering (bundling) together of the weeds (children of the devil) to be burned in the days after which the Church is gone.

Your reference of Matthew 13:41 does indicate saved believers that are in unrepentant iniquity for why they are being gathered out of His kingdom that offends God.

So the Church abiding in Him as His disciples as the ones chosen by Him will be gone, but the Church that is found not abiding in Him when the Bridegroom comes, will not be taken, but left behind as the many that are called but not chosen.

In Revelation 14:6-13 has the 3 angels that sets up the hour of temptation that shall try all remaining on the earth, whereby the second angel heralds the fall of Babylon by which in Revelation 18th chapter details the left behind saints in that regard as Revelation 14:13 shows how they will rest from their labors as their works will follow them into the dust.

That is why 5 out of 7 churches were warned to repent or else in the Book of Revelation while 2 out of 7 churches were exhorted to hold fast or else they too can incur the judgment of becoming castaways and thus vessels unto dishonor in His House.

So the Church is being judged at the pre great trib rapture event. Those left behind are still part of His Church that will be received later on as vessels unto dishonor in His House for not being ready to go when the Bridegroom had come.

Those who are gathered out of his kingdom in verse 41 shall be cast into the fire. I don't think you can make the case that these would be Christians.

Mat 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
Mat 13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire:

There will be a resurrection of the tribulations saints at the second coming of Christ though (not the rapture) but they will have to die for their belief.

The harvest or what we call the "resurrection" happens in three separate phases as God describes in the Old Testament as he taught Israel when he told them how to harvest their crops in a very specific way.

Jesus is known as the "first fruits" as he is the resurrection, and the life. This was commanded by God at every harvest that only the first fruits (which were best of the crop) to be offered unto God. Jesus is the first fruits.(1 Cor 15:23)That was phase one. The next phase of the one resurrection happens at the "rapture" of the Church" which is known as the main Harvest. the third phase happens when the tribulation saints are resurrected at the second coming of Jesus to the earth. God see the resurrection as "one" harvest but in three separate phases.

There will be a resurrection of the tribulations saints at the second coming of Christ though (not the rapture) but they will have to die for their belief.

The best of the crops cannot include all saved believers when some are still in unrepentant iniquity; We all know that not every saved believer are abiding in Him as they ought to and that churches excommunicates unrepentant believers from time to time, if at all in these latter days. So when the Bridegroom comes, do you really think every Christian will be ready to go? Jesus has been warning believers of that consequences in more ways than one.

Luke 14:15-24 has Him telling how invited believers will be making excuses for the cares of this life not to come up hither to attend the King's Supper. Then Luke went on to write how the Lord expounded on that parable to the multitude in Luke 14: 25-33 in how His disciples will not consider the cost of discipleship of being ready to leave this life in earth when the Bridegroom comes. Some believers apply His words to mean giving up their lives while living on earth and hating their loved ones when in actuality, Jesus is talking about how each individual believer needs to be ready to accept the cost of discipleship to the very end when it requires us to give up our lives and our loved ones on earth.

Indeed, the cares of this life can be a snare for why some will not want to escape what is coming on the earth ( Luke 21:33-36 ) and why we should pray so that we will not be ensnared by the cares of this life in being tempted to stay like Lot's wife.

Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. 31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. 32 Remember Lot's wife. 33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Well, anyway... that is how and why I am reading Matthew 13:36-43 to be applied towards, for why verse 43 ends with those who have ears, let them hear as that warning is given to the Church as it ends with each address to the 7 churches in Revelation 2nd and 3rd chapters; it is not to be applied towards the world since the abiding Church, the firstfruits, are being taken out of the world; hence out of the field, whereby those gathered out of His kingdom that offends are left in the world to be burned as they that be Christ's at His coming which after the rapture would include all new believers as a result of His appearing and hearing the everlasting gospel by that first angel before the fiery calamity comes on the 3rd of the earth..

So when the Bridegroom comes, do you really think every Christian will be ready to go?
Absolutely yes!!! The only ones not ready are those who think they are saved but are not. Jesus told the foolish virgins that he did not even know them, yet they sure looked like Christians.

The reason why Jesus is called the "first fruits", is because when Jesus rose from the dead he raised us up together with him into Heavenly places!!!

Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)
Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

The resurrection began 2,000 years ago with Jesus resurrection.

The reason why Jesus said that He did not know them was because they were workers of iniquity ( Matthew 7:21-23 ). Any work that denies Him ( Titus 1:16 ) is the same thing as denying knowing Him verbally ( 2 Timothy 2:12 ).

Even former believers that have gone astray, He still abides in them ( 2 Timothy 2:13 ) as well as in those saints that will be left behind for why they are still called His servants even though they are receiving stripes for not being ready ( Luke 12:40-49 )

There are 2 kinds of vessels in His House; The vessels unto honor as the firstfruits and the vessels unto dishonor as received by Christ as they see the Bridegroom from those that be Christ's at His coming as they will see the King of kings.

The vessels unto dishonor are left behind as being disqualified from attendance to the Marriage Supper. That is why the call to depart from iniquity is given even to former believers as He still resides in them ( 2 Timothy 2:13 & 2 Timothy 2:18-21 ) and so not every saved believer will be ready as found abiding in Him because of an unrepentant iniquity when the Bridegroom comes.

That is why God is coming to judge His House first at the pre great trib rapture event because of the great apostasy of falling away from the faith in 1 Timothy 4:1-2. Many saved believers shall be damned as vessels unto dishonor in His House, but they are still in His House. Jesus warned His disciples in Luke 12:40-49 of the danger of being cut off and left behind in Luke 12:40-49 and Paul voice the same concern in 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 as Jesus warned also in John 15:4-8

You have to take in account this truth below that there is an order in how saved believers will be made alive. Any saved believer found in iniquity will be denied attendance to the Marriage Supper. That is why Jesus warns believers to be ready. That is why Jesus is warning the 7 churches in Revelation because not every saved believer will repent at the time the Bridegroom will come.

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Revelation because not every saved believer will repent at the time the Bridegroom will come.
This is were you are missing it. Not every one in a body of believers is a believer. There are many in the Church's today that are not saved at all. They only look the part. They might carry a Bible, they say all the right things but have never received salvation. It would be pretty cool if everyone in Church's today were saved unfortunately they are not!

how can a person get saved unless they first "repent" and accept Jesus as their savior? A believer have already repented which is why they are saved. What if a Christian has sin in their life then what? Either he confess's his sin or God his Father corrects them until they do. He surely does NOT send them into the fire to teach them a lesson. They are his no matter what because God has bought them with a price, and no one can steal them out his hands.

To repent in order to be saved is to repent from unbelief by believing in Jesus Christ. By believing in Jesus Christ is how a sinner receives the remission of sins and the promise of the Holy Ghost at their salvation.

Discipleship is a life of repentance which can only be done by looking to the author & finisher of our faith to help us lay aside every weight & sin in running that race for the high prize of our calling to be that vessel unto honor in His House.

If you place repentance from all sin in order to be saved, then when are you going to be saved? Sinners know they cannot stop sinning when they know sin has dominion over their lives. By believing in Him and thus by receiving Jesus Christ, they have power to repent from al sins, and not before. That is why all invitations to be saved by Him is simply to come and believe in Him to be saved since it is those who do not believe, are condemned already. John 3:18

Jesus said to these people......

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Jesus did NOT say, well, "I knew you for a while, but now I don't know you". Jesus said, "I never knew you"

These people never belonged to God!!! They just wanted to be recognized for what THEY did. They could care less about God or his ways.

The word, "repent" means "to change your mind". No body gets saved, and then repents. They repent knowing they are a sinner, and in need of a savior, and then get saved. That is a part of the Holy Spirit ministry to "convict" of sin. After a person is saved, there is no more condemnation to those in Christ Jesus.

Jesus did NOT say, well, "I knew you for a while, but now I don't know you". Jesus said, "I never knew you"

These people never belonged to God!!! They just wanted to be recognized for what THEY did. They could care less about God or his ways.
I understand your application of His words, but do you understand my application of His words?

Any saved believer that denies Him to save his own life or the life of someone they love, they will be denied by Him unless they repent at the time the Bridegroom had come.

Any saved believer that is in unrepentant iniquity; that lives in sin, is denying Him by that work of iniquity. That gives the Lord grounds by His words, to deny knowing them because they are denying knowing Him first by that work of iniquity. If they repent of that iniquity, then they are abiding in Him once more.

Otherwise, every time a believer sin, you are arguing that believer was never saved. I contend that no saved believer can be saved again. I contend that no born again of the Spirit believer can be born of the Spirit "again". That is why every one having His seal, including former believers, are called to depart from iniquity so they can be accepted by Him when the Bridegroom comes.

2 Timothy 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; ………..

So if you see any professing believer living in sin, you are not to judge them as never saved or not a real believer, because you are to give that call to him go to Jesus for help to see the truth in order to depart from iniquity or else risk being left behind when the Bridegroom comes.

The word, "repent" means "to change your mind". No body gets saved, and then repents. They repent knowing they are a sinner, and in need of a savior, and then get saved.

Have you read any gospel presentation that sinners were to repent from all sins in order to be saved? What have you read that promises us how we shall receive the remission of sins and the promise of the Holy Ghost?

Acts 10:42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. 43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

That is a part of the Holy Spirit ministry to "convict" of sin.
This is the sin that the Holy Spirit will convict the world of.

John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

After a person is saved, there is no more condemnation to those in Christ Jesus.
As long as they do not walk after the flesh, there is no condemnation. If they could not walk after the flesh, then Paul's warnings would be moot in that chapter, but the warning is there to steer believers from sowing to the works of the flesh as explained further in Galatians 5th chapter.

Even Peter acknowledge what can happen to a saved believer when they sow to the works of the flesh.

2 Peter 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

So believing in Him is how any one is saved as John 3:16 says as it is not believing in Him is how we are not saved as John 3:18 says. Discipleship has to be separate from salvation otherwise where is the race to run for that high prize of our calling to be that vessel unto honor to be received by the Bridegroom at the pre great trib rapture?

What do you think this scripture means?

1John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

What happens if we become faithless after becoming a child of God?

2Ti 2:13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.

What happens if one of your children become disobedient are they still your child? Do you not correct them when they are wrong? God is smarter then we are and he corrects, chastises those who are his so we might be partakers of his holiness.

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Heb 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

It is impossible to be a child of God, and then be corrected for bad behavior and then all of a sudden you stop being his son.
