Ephesians 1:9, Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good
pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
Ephesians 1:10, That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
Ephesians 1:11, In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the
purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
Ephesians 1:12, That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Ephesians 1:13, In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your
salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit ofpromise,
Ephesians 1:14, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the
purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
The Lord God wants to gather together all things in Christ, that are in Heaven, and on
Earth into one. This is the mystery of His will today for the Church, and He has revealed it unto us.
It is call the, “dispensation of the fullness of times”, because we are no longer under the control of
this world, and we do not have to walk according to its course any longer. We have a new course,
and a new way in how we are to live toward God. It's a new, and a living way, through his Son,
Jesus Christ. God has translated us into the Kingdom of His dear son, right up to the gates of His
Holy city. We must enter into those gates and present ourselves unto Him who sits on His throne.
Revelation 22: 14 says,
“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may
enter in through the gates into the city. The word, “right”, means ability, and power. We have no right from our self's to partake of anything, but we are given the ability, and power to do so, if we do His commandments. As for me, I want to know what commandments I need to do so I can enter into those gates and partake of the tree of
life.
In Ephesians 1:13-14, we get an idea of why Gods wants to gather together all things in Heaven and on
Earth into one, “after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise”, The word “sealed”, means “to mark” , God has marked us with the Holy Spirit, after we were saved, and then He tells us why he marked us, “Which is the earnest of ourinheritance..”. Now, we know the word, “earnest”, means ,“down payment”, at least that is what we have been told. Here is the definition, “Earnest money, a pledge, something which stands for part of the price, and paid beforehand to confirm a transaction.” . Primarily, it means a, “pledge”, My youngest son is about to get married in a few months, he has found a woman who he loves dearly, and has, “pledged”, to marry her, he gave her something as to mark her as his own, an engagement ring. The Greek word for “earnest”, is, “arrabon”, but the modern day translation is, “arrabona”, which means, “engagement ring”. God has given unto us an engagement ring as the mark, and earnest of our inheritance. The Holy Spirit is our engagement ring from him--we are His. “until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”
In Jewish the tradition, marriage was considered a financial transaction, (a covenant), between two people. It was the groom's Father that chose a bride for his son, and there was a price to be paid for this union. Once the price was paid, the bride was called the ,“chattel”, which means, “the purchased possession”. After the price was paid the groom takes possession of the purchased possession, which is us, his bride.
Even though the marriage ceremony has not yet taken place, legally the marriage was binding and
legal once the price had been paid. There is a marriage ceremony that is going to take place in the Kingdom of God, this is the reason we must gather ourselves there, so this marriage can take place. We are his bride, and the marriage
will not take place until we, his bride have prepared ourselves for this event. Jesus spoke about while he was alive on earth.
Mat 22:2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
Mat 22:3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would
not come.
Mat 22:4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I haveprepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready:come unto the marriage.
Of course, those who rejected the offer to come to the wedding, were the Jews, so God turns to the
gentiles and bids them to come, and he says ,“and all things are ready: come unto themarriage. “. God the Father has chosen the bride for his son, and he has paid the price, we are his, “chattel”, and belong unto him. God, today is calling unto us his bride to come unto this Wedding! We must prepare ourselves, and become perfect (mature), and that only happens in His presence. Where do people get married? In a Church, right? The work of our ministry is to build this Church, by going unto the place were it is being built and place ourselves in the midst of the other living stones, where Jesus is the chief corner stone.
Hebrews 12:22, But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly
Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Hebrews 12:23, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in
heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Hebrews 12:24, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that
speaketh better things than that of Abel.
Revelation 19:6, And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters,
and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Revelation 19:7, Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lambis come, and his wife hath made herself ready.Revelation 19:8, And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.
Revelation 19:9, And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage
supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
Lets us prepare ourselves for this event, come boldly to the throne room of grace that we might find help in a time of need. This throne can not found anywhere on earth as it is on mount Zion the city of the living God the Heavenly Jerusalem!!!
