Saturday morning as i was walking towards my uncle he opened the door thinking that i wanted to enter the house.
I, without thinking saw the door being opened for me and entered the house, this was not a part of my intntions. I had intended to join in the conversation he and my sister were having.
I any case i did not even notice what had happened until i was inside of the house!
Realising then what had taken place i started to laugh and told then what i was laughing at.
My brainy sister then responded "thats just how the devil open doors for us and we enter without thinking or assessing what our intentions are"
she had a point!
Many times we walk through opened doors just because its opened and and we don't take the time to think about what is behind that door.
Some how or the other our minds are programmed in such a way that an open door in front of us means "Enter".
Now, if i had stopped to think for a while about the door that was opened infront of me i would have realised that i wasn't supposed to go inside the house.
Likewise when opportunities present themselves to us, when doors opens to us in life we need to stop!, think!, and ask God if it is his will that we enter.

p.s ( My uncle is a man of God.....loll!)

When you have finished reading this if you have any comments, other ideas or any other revelation, or if you want to expound on this topic then you can feel free to do so.Your ideas can help to encourage someone else.

Just because the Lord doesn’t stop us from something, doesn’t mean He wants us to continue. To discern which opportunities to pursue, we need to “approve the thing that are excellent” and to be “filled with the fruits of righteousness . . . to the glory and praise of God” (Phil. 1:10-11).

Folly is joy to him who is destitute of discernment, but a man of understanding walks uprightly. — Proverbs 15:21
