One Voice
By: comingjoy 3-23-08
Can one voice make a difference? One voice can, has and continues to make a difference years after it is heard. The question is not can one voice make a difference but what kind of change can and has that one voice made?
One voice stood up to be heard saying no more prayers in school. Her voice was heard and we still hear the sad effects today. Hitler, Napoleon Bonaparte, Gandhi, Martin Luther, Joan of Arc, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr. These were all one voice that has had a huge impact on society that we still feel today. Abraham, Moses, Pharaoh, Esther, Haman, Jeremiah, Amos, John the Baptist, Paul, Peter, Mary, Judas are just some of many mentioned in the Bible that made a difference.
We may not always know or see the difference our voice will or has had. To often we use our voice to complain or remain silent out of fear. If one voice can make a huge negative impact on our society for generations to come, then what kind of impact would we have if Christians took a stand to have Jesus voice heard today?
We need to be like the stones in Habakkuk 2:11 calling out for justice, with every part reverberated with the need to right the wrongs.
Habakkuk 2:11 The stones of the wall will cry out, and the beams of the woodwork will echo it.
We also do not need to live in fear to speak up for Christ so as not to be like the stones in Luke 19:39-41
Luke 19:39-41 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!"
40"I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."
41As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it
We each are given a choice. So whose voice are you speaking for? The worlds, yours or Jesus???
JESUS was and is one voice. Let HIS voice continue to ring on through you!!
Psalm 29:3-9
