One Concept
Their’s sixty-six books in the bible but one concept
That we’re consistent in failing to grasp or simply forget
Out of all the books they all lead to one simple concept
In Genesis we read we’re created in six days in paradise
Everything we need or could ever want we had right there
But we failed to grasp one concept and wanted more
Even after the fall God tried telling us through Abraham son Isaac
But all we saw was Isaac laying on the alter and the test of faith
The ram should have given the concept away right then
Then of course their’s Moses freeing God’s people and the desert
Forty days till being led to the promise land yet still failed to grasp
The concept God was trying to tell them
Queen Esther’s story should have given us a clue but no
We still try and carry everything on our shoulders including
The world which is not ours to bare, but His Who is to come
Yes we know Job lost everything and that we should trust the Lord
Through everything we go through, but we still end up asking why
Through all the questions we let the concept slip right bye
Shout with a joyful noise the Lord just wants to hear our praises
Psalms teaches us and that He knows the words on our tongue
But still even though he knows us we fail to know Him even in praise
The prophet Isaiah tried to tell us loud and clear with His stripes
By His Stripes we’re healed but know some how slipped by
Like a quite wind guess we really do need a hurricane to feel it
Three times a day Daniel prayed no matter what even in a lions den
The concept should have been known then but we took praying as
A requirement instead of a privilege talking to our Heavenly Father
Shadrach ,Meshach, and Abendnego inside the fiery furnace
We once again failed to see the concept and see the forth man
Just seeing once again not to bow down to know one but God
So seeing we needed the biggest clue of all between day and night
God gave us John three sixteen sending His Son to die on a cross
Just to give us the one concept we failed to grasp
Even Jesus tried to tell us before His walk up the hill to save the World
Through all the miracles only a few grasped the concept even the thief
Got the concept which so many of us fail to grasp
Finally even through the resurrection we’re told the concept
Through Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, faith, hope and Love
The greatest of these is love
God wrote sixty-six books through His spirit to tell you and me
Just one thing with one concept in mind that we find so hard to believe
All our Heavenly Father wanted us to know was I Love You
God tried telling us it wasn't just about obeying His laws, but us accepting
His Unconditional Love trusting that love and knowing His love is our shield
After all that all He wants to know is one concept in return, do we Love Him
