Why would you say he needs a christian phychiatrist? Versus prayer? Or does no one have faith anymore?

the spiret wont talk .. you will feel it..... it will tingle from the inside out. it will not hurt you , it will not give you alta matums, fear is not associated at all...... that is guilt. god will never do that. he is love. that is your ego talking.. tell it to go away and you have no time for its nonsense and drama....you know your limits. you are in control always . breath and trust. when your house is in order you will know....................to simplify... growing pains..

The Spirit inspires people to talk. ( speaking in tongues or Mary's inspired speaking when meeting Elizabeth)

This is why we use the Gifts of the Spirit. And another reason people need to get it into thier thick heads, Why using the Gifts as often as you can is Very important

It is through experience Elijah knew to recognize the Holy Spirit when it came as a wispering wind

I know about withdrawals. I’ve been through it. Many times actually. I don’t think the thoughts are from the medicine. And yes there is something better called Kratom. The lord showed me. Yeah I should have left out the specifics. Most drs don’t know about kratom and wouldn’t either know anything about it or they have misinformation about it and wouldn’t like that I am switching back to it. But this thread keeps getting derailed into medical topics

Oh yes kratom is a great plant tho the taste is horrible lol..

I use the red mai dain something like that.. awesome for pain tho!

It depends a little bit on the person and the subject matter. But typically when God talks to a person you'll experience a very loving sensation, very warm and loving.

Normally, with people who are first experiencing hearing the Lord. It's always that way warm and loving.

But like I said it depends on the person and the situation. So when we look at Paul for instance it comes across as neither loving nor warm when Jesus speaks to him. Knocking him off the horse and then talking to him kind of roughly.

My spiritual director who is a priest, kept asking me "how do you hear the Lord". Try as I might I still could not explain to him where he would understand just because he had no point to reference.
One day, he was just talking to the Lord and made a comment about me saying " why would you pick a guy like Bill Brown to do this" , before he could finish the sentence the Lord spoke to him fairly roughly saying "what is it to you who I choose to do my work".

When he told me what happened I had to laugh. I said well you got two birds and one stone. I told him that he he got to hear the Lord's voice plus he had the Lord confirm what I was telling him

Test the spirits. Does go along with or against scripture. Sometimes that voice is yours in your own head

Regardless as to who is hearing....it can not contradict scripture. Again you must test the spirit and see if its God or not. If it does not go against sccripture,follow the instruction for a bit. You will know if its right or not.
I spent years believing i was called by God to preach. I preached in every church in my denominations assocation,pastored for a while,even had a radio ministry. After years of banging my head against the wall i figured it out. I was not a preacher.
But unless you give it a shot you will never know

How can you test any Spirit when you do not have the Holy Spirit.

And for those who have the Holy Spirit but don't use the Holy Spirit it's foolishness, because it takes practice to know what you're discerning. Look at Elijah on the mountain he had the strong wind he had the storm he had all these things and he knew that each of those did not have God in them but when the Whispering Wind came he fell on his face cuz he recognized the presence of God. If you do not work on learning the gift of discernment you will never recognize the Whispering Wind
