Apostles Were All Disciples;
Not All Disciples Were Apostles
Apostle is derived from the Greek word, pronounced ap-os-tol-os, which means messenger, or ambassador. Although the term is most often used to describe The Twelve Apostles, certain others, including Paul and Barnabas, were also designated as apostles according to God's purpose at a given time.
Disciple is derived from the Greek word, pronounced math-ay-tes, which means learner, or student. Generally, apostles were chosen from among the disciples (Matthew 10:1), and therefore there were far fewer apostles than disciples - all apostles were disciples, but not all disciples became apostles.
"And when day came, he called his disciples and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles:" - Luke 6:13
"...An apostle - not from men, nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father." - Galatians 1:1

1Pe 4:10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies--in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
