Do you get nostalgic for things that either you are too young to really remember or things that you’ve never had any first hand exposure to?
I do. Some examples:
Lunch counters
School Halloween carnivals/bazaars
door-to-door Christmas carolers
Automats
A Christmas retail season that does not start until the day after Christmas
Bugs Bunny and Hanna Barbera cartoons on Saturday Morning TV- without having to have cable
Window-shopping- outside rather than in a mall
Retail stores that have toys only at Christmas
Women who don’t appear in public without wearing a dress or skirt
Men who don’t appear in public without a hat
Christmas lights or decorations on every house and every store and in every commercial building
Hollywood movies released to theaters a 2nd time- and never put out on video.
Movie theaters that have 2 screens at the most.
Movie theater screens that take up more space that what you’d get in a over-grown closet.
