For the LORD will not cast off His people, Nor will He forsake His inheritance. But judgment will return to righteousness, And all the upright in heart will follow it. Psalm 94:14-15
After all the ways the people of Israel, failed to remain faithful to their Lord, they were still described as His special possession. God can't abandon His own, even if they abandon Him. This grace and mercy from God works to restore people to a right relationship with Him and to restore justice in the world. Restoration in the land of Israel came through the transformation of the Israelites, renewing their hearts as God's own people who learned to love justice.
There's no hope apart from the love of God. If you believe that you have been rejected by God, you're believing that the impossible has happened to you. God's own people can't change who they are at their core.
Whatever you have done against God or others, that only obscures the truth about you. You may fear being found out for something you've done, but the truth is that you still can't undo what God has said about you.
Prayer: Lord, I accept the truth of Your love for me today.
