Hello everyone. I am new to this website. I have been extremely troubled recently and feel like I need advice from God and fellow believers. I am recently separated from my husband of 13 years. We have three beautiful children together, but because he is not mentally ill, we have decided to part ways. My husband suffers from delusions and though I have prayed that he gets better, he simply does not feel as if anything is wrong with himself. He accuses me of being unfaithful and I am not. I tried to get closer to God and pray for him to get better, but have found that lately I have been straying away. I know that through Jesus and the power of prayer, all things are possible. I pray that he seeks help and gets himself better. I love my husband and my family, but cannot continue to have him hurt me as he does. I hope this website helps me get closer to Jesus and make my faith stronger. I am truly saddened by my current situation and hope this site can help me turn my turmoil in to peace.

I pray you Follow The Holy Spirit...The "Still Small Voice" (Inside) He Will Give You Wisdom and Guide You, IN All Area's of Life..."Cast All Your Care's UPON JESUS!

Hi sister,

I'm sorry to hear of your pain. Ironically, I am listening to a Charles Stanley sermon where he talks about how we do not draw closer to GOD when He blesses us, but when we're facing pain / trials that we most come closer to Him for help. I attest to this truth myself as well. So let your pains draw you ever more closer to Jesus. You can never be too close to Him or close enough, that's the sweet thing.

I will be lifting you up in prayer. I do expect this community to bless you and glad you've decided to join us and open up to us. We're a family, so let us help you, pray for you.

I also went through a divorce myself for similar reasons, except I have no children. I do not know how he treats you, but abuse is always wrong (verbal, physical, mental, emotional, etc). Divorce is not GOD's choice but He knows that He also hates violence.

Malachi 2:16

And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth. 16 "For the LORD God of Israel says
That He hates divorce,
For it covers one's garment with violence,"
Says the LORD of hosts.
"Therefore take heed to your spirit,
That you do not deal treacherously."

I'm glad you found us enlightened1,you chose a very positive name for someone going through such a trial.
I would be honored to join my brothers and sisters in lifting up your family before the throne of God.

Chad is right about trials drawing us closer to God,looking back I can't say that it would have been better if my trials had not come.
I am confident you will get your joy and strength back and become enlightened on how to save your family.
I came to God because people prayed for me and God pursued me and he will do the same for any of us who never cease to pray.

Sister Enlightened....How my heart goes out to you ..First let me say that the enemy wants you to thank that youre alone ..RUBBISH!! I can say that because ive stood in youre shoes ..My wife of 6 yrs decided to do her own thing and not follow God .left our marriage in a heap and didnt care about the fall out...Now on the other foot i can tell you the wife that has been at my side for 15 yrs now ..( not the same lady ) is a blessing i could have never hoped for ..and her prayers over me is a big part of why im here today serving God and not going nuts myself...Take faith and know that God is in control even if youre not ...ill not lie to you and say it will be better overnight but God alone knows how this will work out...!You mus leave it in His hands and continue to pray for youre Husband ...Now heres what ive not shared with any one else on this site ..my divorce was in 95-96 but in my diary it was pointed out that i knew about this in 93-94.. my wife of today was having problems with her ex about the same time elswhere in the world...unknown to me God told her if her husband of 9 yrs wont follow me ill give you someone who will..when a friend (God ) put us in each others path it was made right in His way .NOT MINE.! sister ill pray for you and lift you up but i encourage you to keep youre eyes on God and not the problem..I know its hard But when you keep youre eyes on Christ the things of this world will slowley fade out of site ..Love on youre children and Praise the Lord for them Now is when they need to see faith in action and as God supplies let it be known to them no matter how small the blessings and they will learn that standing on God is solid ground !....may the lord bless and keep you in this time ..ill be watching youre posts :magnify: feel free to ask any thing of me and ill do my best to point you to Christ in this ....Rev

Thank you so much for your kind words and support. I truly feel that God brought me to this site for a reason. The emotional and verbal abuse is too much to bare and that is why we are separated. He does not realize how wrong he is. I pray to God to one day let him know the truth. I want my family together, but let it be God's will. If I must move on and pursue a life without my beloved, then that is the path I must lead. I find comfort in this site and in believing that God has a plan for me, and these trials and tribulations are happening for a reason. If this ordeal brings me closer to God and gives me a better understanding of his word, then in the end, I have won. My husband is a good man, who also believes in Jesus and wants to get closer to him as well. I pray that he gets better, even if our family does not reunite.

I want to thank you for being open and offering help and advice. Today, my husband also lost his job. He has never denied me or the children money and has always been there to help provide for the kids and help me make ends meet. Financially this is going to have a negative affect for me and the children. Even though I got this bad news, I cannot help but to feel calm. I can't help but wonder if God is punishing him for how he treats me. It hurts because I know he is raising false testimony against me, but mentally he really believes this is true. I pray that he goes to church and seeks help from God and from a psychiatrist. I pray that I get the husband I once knew and love back. I sometimes also get the feeling that my family is being attacked by demonic forces. Could this be? Could my family be under attack by the devil?

Even though I got this bad news, I cannot help but to feel calm.
Praise God sister ,that is the peace that passes understanding and it is the base that you use to set up rescue operations for lost sheep.Don't let any report knock you off of that peace,it's from God.

I can't help but wonder if God is punishing him for how he treats me.
No,God laid all punishment on Jesus at the cross and now it's up to us to enforce his grace in every situation.
We can end up bringing judgement on ourselves by not forgiving others so he is facing his own judgement.
Spiritually speaking though,it is the beginning of seeing the light to be confronted by your own judgement.

He is a sheep, asleep among wolves,he is not happy and his anger is toward God and you happen to be
the closest way he can thrash against the light that is waking him from his slumber.

Romans 11:32 For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
Prayer: Father we ask for your mercy for this perfect family.

Proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.
Proverbs 21:1 The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.
Proverbs 16:9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.
Proverbs 20:24 A man’s steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?

Father thank you for directing all hearts in this matter to the Way,the Day,the light and the life who is the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God slain from before the foundation of the world.

2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

We cast down anything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and the Lamb.
We ask that you would help us take our own thoughts into captivity so that we will be free of anything that is not your will.
We ask these things in the name and divine plan of Jesus.Amen!

My sisiter ...Im glad youve found comfort in Christ and that we could be a part to that end ...Keep youre Eyes on Christ and youll do well during this time ..just a guess but as youre husband begins to rail against you know this its more likley to be what ever spirit has Him in the clinch railing against whats in you ( God Spirit ) dont take it personal but take it spiritual instead and youll be on a winning field..I shared about my last wife and let me say we were in coulceling with the pastor and she said after several months (3) that we were not needing it any more because we were better than ever and she had peace ..3 weeks later she told me she saw no hope in Christ and left me for an alcholic inmate that she had been writting to for the past yr.!!!I was blown off course bad by this ,BUT MY GOD had a plan and sent an angel to remind me of His love for me and it gave me hope ..My wife Suzan is more than i could have hoped for and she set through a tough journey home with me ..Just rember a kind word turns away wrath according to Gods word..I beleive the Lord has a perfect end for this for you and you need to be still and wait on the Lord ..let me add you are about to be dealing with a big pride issue due to His Job loss..Its the storm before the calm as God deals with His heart..so i leave you with these words Peace be still and know that I am God ... saith the Lord of Hosts..! In His love Rev/////////////////////// P.S yes im quite sure youre family is under attack as are all familys right now ..If The enemy can disolve the Family unit it effects the church and that is what the devil is after in the end ....Rev
