I am a new member and am hoping to find a way to be useful in learning and also teaching what I have done in study for years. After a troubled childhood and many experiences I know that God was always with me even when I was a non-believer. I do not believe in aggressive forms of evangelism as God seems to make a time and place to speak to people on behalf of my love in faith. I have friends and family who have seen me change through this faith. Though some of these changes would appear to be very difficult I attest, My Lord is the reason for being able to change. Many of these things were too difficult but I have yet to encounter anything my Lord is not able to give me strength to follow His will.
I hope to be helpful in skeptical faith. My daily studies are focused on what I am called but other study is a focus on a defense of faith and philosophy. A Christian Apologetic is a believer who studies and not only gives conclusive evidence for the right to practice Christianity but also how it goes far beyond any other religion or philosophy. This involves a study of history, culture and readings of many translations. It would take me a long time to list the writings educational or inspirational. As I believe in the defense of this faith and approached in according to the Apostle Paul teachings.
Suffering from a chronic medical condition since 2010 brought an even larger change to my relationship with God. In faith and through suffering there I discovered a closer relationship. I do not believe I would have lived had I not kept pursuing the peace of my Lord. And since I never feel the absence of God and Christ in my life. I may have started at the age of 21 baptized with water but in a continual walk I believe in a more deeper form. A sort of baptism by fire. Our Lord works in mysterious ways and no matter what man can search he will not be able to answer all questions of life and soul. In any situation the Lord calls His people in there rightful time. If I do anything I only wish the will of God be done on this earth as in heaven. Blessing of peace to any and all who read this. God be with us!

Very interesting. I'm also new on this site and can't quite grasp how forums work. Nevertheless, with the Lord's help, I will learn. Will appreciate hearing any thoughts on what I can expect as I endeavor to engage in meaningful conversations.

GOD ON MUTE by Pete Grieg is an excellent book that might help you understand God's reponse to your situation.

The times my faith have been rattled is when I had to rely on not what I saw or felt but what i knew about the nature of God ,Loving Father , Works and has set plans of good not harm for me ,and when ive not seen His hand is when He is making a way and prepare I my path ,I admit as a minister I don't always understand the ways of God but I know who cares for every detail in my life and is faithful to accomplish the good work He has began in me .!! If I Just trust and obey .!....Rev

I guess we just give it time. I think the format is good. Its just new to learn to navigate. But I what see seems to be meaningful discussions. I also am not used to it but will enjoy spending time in discovering what we can do with it. Blessings.

My Bible college professor is famous for saying "We're saved by what we KNOW." So, we need to know that we know, that we know... that we're saved. We're also saved by WHO we know. And we sure need to know "Him" more. Yes, we need to know the Nature of God, that He's not up there shaking an angry fist at us, but is cheering us on as His friends that we are. He wants our faith focused on the right object: His Son's finished work at Calvary, which is able to save the vilest sinner and make him clean. Stay focused on what was accomplished at the Cross of Jesus Christ...and that work of cleaning us up will just seem to happen: for some, quicker than others. Nevertheless, it DOES happen as we wait on Him to change us. But, the hard part? Is believing that the change will come. So? When we come praying, then we'd better come believing. And that's something I had/have to continually learn...that He is ABLE!!! It's so GOOD to rest in that thought!!! And when I forget, it's good for the body of Christ to rally...and remind. But we all need to be on the same page with our understanding of Calvary, do we not? For THAT is true unity, brothers and sisters in Christ. Thanks, Reverend T...good thoughts.

Thanks for the welcome. I hope I can begin to keep my comments shorter. Sounds like a rule, right? Where do you all go on this site for the most activity? i.e., What are your favorite areas? Is that a valid question?

When I awake in the morning I immediately commune with the living fragment of the Christ Spirit...the great I AM Principle within me...for me that is the living Christ Principle...He that is within me is greater than he which is in the world...

Well, hi, Leopard? I suppose you were responding to my thread from April when I, myself, first got on Talk Jesus. I haven't really been on very much, perhaps a bit preoccupied. But, sure, I can see where you came up with your response. At the time, I was reaching out to regular members to see how this site worked. Welcome on board. And, yes, Christ is my all in all. I also commune with Jesus Christ, who lives and reins in me. Am doing it as I'm painting my house this summer, and our communion is sweet. But it's good to immediately connect with God first thing in the morning. In fact, we're asking for trouble if we don't. He's been so good, we need to thank Him for each new day no matter what it brings. Because, if I'm thankful? Then I find the day always goes so much better. Be blessed!

Do keep writing. I hope you find this site of interest to you. How did you happen to come on it? Me, I was searching for a Christian forum so I could just speak about the Love of Jesus.

I'm Tilly
