Im new here. I been here a while now I just never got around to posting. Anyway, My name is Daniel but I liked to be called Dan.
Im a Christian. Im 21. Im From Canada. I play Hockey. I love Taking pictures. I have Aspergers Syndrome. If you dont know what that is it's a form of Autism that affects social behaviour so It makes it hard for me to talk to people and to keep and make friends. But I get through it with the help of God.
Next Fall I will be starting my Junior Year in College in Prince Edward Island Canada.I am Majoring in Sociology and have a Minor in History. I love taking pictures and I love to travel. Last Summer I got the chance to do Study Abroad. I went to France,Germany,Italy,Prague, Poland,England. It was amazing.

Anyway I hope to meet some new Christian Friends

See you around

Hope you enjoy the community. Lots of great people here

Welcome to Heaven on Earth

It's fun to be a part of what Jesus creates...also He heals if you want Him to and so whatever you need He will provide with your own faith and expectation! Love and blessings from Florida :shade:

Welcome to TalkJesus, Dan. I've seen Asperger's dramatized on TV, so I am a bit familiar with your problem and empathetic as well. I can testify from (non-medical) long term issues I deal with, that God is THE power source for help in dealing with the cruddy things life throws at us.

Hi Dan. I have Asperger's too. I was undiagnosed until I was 43 years old. I grew up feeling out of place, like I never fit in. People thought I was strange or odd. I didn't really have any friends.

I grew up hearing how God uses people for His good. I always thought, "I have no purpose. How in the world could God ever use someone like me? An oddball. A freak."

When I was diagnosed, I too viewed it as an infirmity, something that made me less than everyone else - at first anyway.

God changed that. He did not "heal" me. Instead, he used that very infirmity that I thought would always set me apart and hold me back to help others. I now have a ministry that reaches out to Christian Aspies and others who are seeking Christ.

God can use you and you should NEVER view your Asperger's as a curse or a problem. I was told that more than 80% of people diagnosed with Asperger's were not able to have full time jobs. I work for the federal government, full time. The past two years I have received end of fiscal year performance bonuses. I also have a great marriage.

Most of all, I am living my life for Christ and He is using me. He will use you too. Asperger's is not a disability, just an "other" ability.

I would love to talk to you more.
Stephanie

Welcome, Daniel

Peace be unto you

I Thessalonians 2:10 Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:

I Thessalonians 2:11 As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children,

I Thessalonians 2:12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

Good luck and congratulations on your travels.
