New Here...And my story

Hey, I'm new here, and don't know a whole lot but I've been reading the bible for the past month and have finished: Revelations, John and Romans...and I'm working on Job right now.

I have been a follower of Christ since I was 10, but it wasn't until last month that I REALLY started reading the bible and asking myself in situations "what would he do?"...and this is what caused it:

My BEST friend, Bobby, was the BEST inspiration to me than any one else. Bobby saved me from myself, and what I mean by this, is I lived how I wanted when I wanted...and I believed that Jesus died on the cross but I didn't seek any more information then that. And unfortunately, I didn't realize he saved me until it was too late to thank him...He died at my house February 12th 2009 at 7:15am at 44 years old...I'm 17 years old

I just want to go were Bobby went when I die....it be a good place or bad....though, how he lived and all the little and BIG hints he's been giving me that he's in Heaven

I hope to find help and also to make friends with GREAT people!

Welcome Christa, your bestfriend's death didnt come without a purpose and you're one of them. Im sure he's glad that your seeking to know Christ even more today. . . and more so God is please that you come nearer to Him. You'll meet great people here at talkJesus, i know bec. i did. Welcome to TalkJesus, Christa. Since you're new at Bible reading, I suggest that you set the Old Testament and the Book of Revelation aside for now and concentrate on the gospels first, then the epistles. They will give you knowledge of Jesus' mnistry and basic church teaching. Without understanding of the gospels and epistles, the Old Testament and Revelation won't make much sense.

Feel free to ask any questions you need to.
