Hello all,
So I posted this in the poll section. But I am also interested in hearing a discussion. As an architecture student I find church architecture very interesting and I think architecture can really effect people not only physically but emotionally. So, because of that I kind of have a problem with new age church architecture. I tend to like traditional church architecture and the grand cathedrals of Europe. I like pews and stained glass and all that fancy stuff lol. The church I attend was just recently completed and is pretty boring from an architectural standpoint. If I didn't know any better I'd think it was conference room at a hotel. No pews, no alter, no pretty natural lighting. Kinda drab.
Anyway I was just wondering what everyone else thought about church architecture. Do you like the old or the new better? Remember I'm asking about the architecture, not the practices of the church or the preaching style, but the actual building style.
