Hello to all, I am a I guess a trying new Christian. I have just started my journey and not sure I am worthy of Jesus' love yet. I still go back and forth with the old me and try hard for the new me. Until I know I can be what Jesus wants of me I have not repented yet. I have tried to learn all I can and tried to read some of the bible, but don't know where to go from here. I have not found a Church I really like yet but am still trying. Can anyone help me on where to start, I have read some of the Book of John but have not studied it. Thanks for all your help.

Well, first the Bible says That God so loved the World that he gave his only son for you. God loves you unconditionally, despite all the growing that need to be done.
Jesus said he is not judging the sins of this world, so don't worry about making mistakes, and goofing up. That's What is so wonderful about being one of his. Nobody came to Jesus worthy enough. Not one. However, if we continue in his word, and grow, we can become more and more like him.
So, I would find some Christian friends, keep reading your bible, find out about the Holy Ghost and being filled with the Spirit of God. Learn about God's love and how we can walk in that love (Not always easy when the person next to you deserves blasted.)
So, welcome to an awesome life, once you start trusting God, you will find that He more than wants to bless you and put good things in your path. I know, He healed my son of cancer.

The wonderful thing about the Lord Jesus Christ is that He accepts you just as you are. He came to save sinners, and His precious blood shed on Calvary's cross, cleanses from all sin. All you need to do is accept Him as your Lord and Saviour.

Jaco, Welcome to the family of God and to TalkJesus. The Gospel of John is a good place to start your Bible reading. I suggest you stick to reading the four Gospels for now to familiarize yourself with Jesus' life and work. Next I would read the Epistles. Spend time reading and meditating on Scripture EVERY Day. Feel free to ask God to clarify things you don't understand or, put the question in the form of a thread starter here.

welcome jaco, that is the great thing about jesus. non of us are worthy but he shares it with us if we call upon him or cry out to him. isnt that beautiful. this is even more awesome. did you know that at one person that repents and calls out to christ in faith that the whole heavens throws a huge party of rejoicing for you.
hey jaco, dont try just let go to jesus with a full heart. many people are afraid of true repentance because they do not like to cry and for us to truly see ourselves for our wrong is very painful. but let it out. the weeping is a part of the cleansing. the lord is healing you so relax and let him do his beautiful work in you. he did it all for you. the beatings, the opened wounds the cross it was all for you and it is by the stripes that we all beat onto him in our sin that he has turned into cleansing us. that is true love dear.

Glad to meet you. You have already come a long way in being a child of God. I know He loves you and wants what is best for you. By joining a church you like is already big step. They must have prayer groups and other groups you can join to get to there you want to be.
