Hi CuriousLauren! It is not the faith you lack,we all have a measure of it sister. Perhaps it is trust you lack. Perhaps as in times gone by, you have trusted and been let down badly. Time and time again,you have done your best,but just when you thought this may be it,like a hole in your pocket,it was gone.
Jesus is not easy to understand except for one area!! He loves us no matter what! NO MATTER WHAT! If you can trust in this,then you can have him in you. It matters not what Church you go to or not,it matters not what you believe or not,what only matters is that God loves you no matter what!
This was my beginning as well. Oh I had seen many proclaim God,with a drink in one hand and smoking in the other. Cursing,making fun of others.So I thought what is the difference between them and the world? nothing! But what value could we place on there words??the same nothing! So why should I become a believer?
One reason CuriousLauren,because God loves you no matter what! God is not about religion, he is not about being a member of any certain group,he is his very nature!! LOVE!
But there is one price you have to pay to have this!! You have to accept his love! When you do,life is not a bowl of roses! All your problems will not go away overnight. But in your mind ,you will understand something, you did not before.You are loved!
And no matter what anyone says to you or about you,they cannot take that love of God in you ever!! away! It is my sister a start. a new beginning,to which end is yet to be determined.But it is a start. Love holds no race,it matter not what a person believes or does not believe,it is free,it gives,yes it loves.
The only thing about love,is that we have to receive it unto our self. From this start,we can learn more,we can take this as far as we wish to.You can decide,you have that right! There are no perfect people here,there never has been,nor will there ever be,but why you are here,is because you see something other sites may lack so much in.there is love here.
People care here.People can be helped here. Sure we have disagreements from time to time,every family is not perfect either. The point is CuriousLauren is that you do matter! You always have mattered! And you always will matter! When you can receive this from a very loving God,who created us all,that is a start!
