Necessities and Substitutes For Spiritual and Physical Life
Christ says in John 10: 10 that "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
Life is from zoe, ζωή, especially spiritual life, but also physical life as health while in the flesh.
Life from zoe is Strong's Exhaustive Concordance number 2222, which is from 2198, zao, meaning to live, quick.
All life, both physical and spiritual, is given by God.
But the second beast of Revelation 13, who represents the many false prophets of Matthew 24: 11, is said to give "life" to the image or representation of the beast. This is part of a whole section on the workings of the false prophets, which goes on from Revelation 13: 12 to Revelation 13: 18. "And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed." Revelation 13: 15
The beast here is seen in Revelation 13: 3, the head of the first beast whose deadly wound was healed, which is the Little Horn of Daniel 7: 8, that nation in the Middle East.
Life in Revelation 13:15 is not from zoe, but from pneuma. Strong's says number 4151, pneuma means " a current of air, i.e, breath, by analogy, a spirit..." The false prophets give a spirit to the representation of the beast whose deadly wound was healed (Revelation 13: 3), but they do not give spiritual life to the followers of that representation provided for them by the false prophets. Only Jesus Christ can give spiritual life to anyone.
In Luke 9: 60 Christ says "Let the dead bury their dead:" The physically dead cannot bury the dead, so he is talking about those who are spiritually dead.
There are those who are spiritually dead while in the flesh and there are those who are spiritually alive while in the flesh.
"My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you. " Galatians 4: 19
"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" II Corinthians 13: 5
Philippians 2: 5 says "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus."
"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" Colossians 1: 27
Then Romans 8: 9 says "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."
"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." John 3: 5
On the Road to Damascus the risen Christ said to Paul in that encounter that his ministry would be "To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me."
Paul was to transmit the spirit of Christ to others in order to transform them from spiritual death to spiritual life in Christ. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12: 2 Transformed is from metamorphousthe, or metamorphose, meaning to change completely in nature.
Yet in John 10: 10 when Christ promises to bring more abundant life, he also means physical life, though it is spiritual life which is more important. While we are in the flesh Christ can bring us better physical and mental health. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. " II Timothy 1: 7 God would give us a sound mind and body.
And the body has requirements or necessities. Physical nutrients are provided for our bodies in nature. "And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine." Ezekiel 47: 12
"In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." Revelation 22: 2
The human body has necessary requirements for certain nutrients. Yet in the absence of necessary nutrients it will accept counterfeit nutrients. And certain counterfeit nutrients - even when real nutrients are available in the body - work to diminish the benefits of authentic nutrients.

The tribulation period mentioned in Matthew 24: 21, and in 24: 29 is not only about earth and solar system catastrophic events, and a nuclear war which many believe will kill much of the population on earth. It is also about the attack upon the human body by environmental toxins and poisons, as part of the promotion of population reduction by the ruling elites influenced by eugenics. Not only are there now many toxins in our food, water, and air, but the food we buy lacks essential nutrients - which could help us deal with the toxins. This is a slow kill of the human body, which did not exist as it does now 40 or more years ago.
For example, fluoride in our drinking water, on vegetables washed in fluoride water, etc, in certain amounts will replace calcium and reduce the amount of calcium in the body, which can result in heart trouble.
Iodine is not as available in what we consume as it was 40 or so years ago.

Mercury is a heavy metal and poison which is now very much available in the environment in the U.S. Its put in most vaccines. Mercury opposes some chemicals that are necessary for health. This would mean that if people do not have the necessary biochemicals available but mercury is available that harmful effects result, or that at a certain level mercury causes physical harm to the human body even when the body has available necessary nutrients.
Zinc is another chemical necessary in the body. Zinc, among other things, helps the immune system avoid infectious diseases. Cadmium may be one poison that is now available in the environment and which opposes zinc.
Just as our physical environment - what we eat, drink and breathe - is lacking in the chemicals necessary for abundant physical life, so the religious environment in many churches is not just failing to teach the real and full Gospel of Christ, all the counsel of God (Acts 20: 27), but is often teaching false doctrines which do not lead to spiritual life. In other words, the churches not only do not give people that which is necessary for spiritual life, but they give them that which diminishes spiritual life, brought to them by the false prophets who deceive them into thinking their doctrines do give spiritual life.
Remember that physical and spiritual life, and both more abundantly, are given by God.
