I've always been curious on how I should remember him since I've had conflicting memories. Sadly the last image I have of him is talking with Robert H. Schuller via a video conference at the Crystal Cathedral and acknowledging that only God knew if Jesus was the only way. I actually saw it live on TV. I guess as live as TV can be now days. Just did a search to see if YouTube had the exchange and it did, so I’ve included it below.

I do remember him from the early 60's as an Evangelist proclaiming the Gospel to millions! He was a fire brand, for the Lord. Not only to the high in station, but to the low as well.
Through my mother who went home when she was 94 I garner a small understanding of how age can change a person. I could only hope that it was not a thought out or even truly believed statement, but rather, one that was misspoken.
Can’t help but sigh.
