I've been preaching this since "spirit in the sky" by Norman Greenbaum came on the radio. He is a total non-Christian in it for the money. I'm tired of hearing Christian music that they say "You'" instead. Like Lauren Daigles "you say". I always question who "you" is and she has no testimony for being saved. There is a lot of music that do this, and also never mention Jesus. I hear Christian music played in Church, I told plenty "Let me tell you about my Jesus" is not a worship song and not a hymn, but at least she says Jesus. So shouldn't be played in church. Look at the person who wrote the songs, that Christian artists record. Elvis recorded 3 solid Christian albums and sang them with passion. one song "without Him" was written by Mylon Lefever, a non-Christian composer, who, to his credit, became a Christian later, a lot later.

I think as Adults and having discernment we can weed out about 80% of CCM & Worship music. Why have we not discussed Michael Tate?
SInce I became a Christian decades ago i have seen the transition and growth of the Christian music scene. This is a billion dollar industry.
now.

WE should also address other artists we should be wary of;

• tobyMac – the use of a one eye sign on an album cover
• Skillet – the use of a one eye sign on an album cover and also uses the ilcornuto
• Jars of Clay – Dan Haseltine supports Gay Marriage
• David Crowder – Is an SDA, doctrine matters.
• Kirk Franklin wears dresses and puts lipstick on, also has chains around his waist indicating his availability.
• Lecrae – Becoming more associated with the world and refusing to take a stand on his Christian beliefs regarding homosexuality.
• (at a stretch) Family Force 5 – F=6 from the alphabet which becomes 666. Just like the secular band three-6 mafia.
• Brian Doerksen uses Masonic images on his album covers.
• Jesus Culture is associated with Bethel Church
• Kari Jobe believes in the manifestations of Destiny which really is in support of a higher self through gnosis.
• Passion Band has Chris Tomlin, Crowder & Lecrae in its line-up
• Jeremy Riddle is associated with Bethel Music.

This is not a complete list of course. We must continue to call out artists who proclaim Jesus with their lips but deny Him by their lifestyle.
