I told some friends on here I would post this to remind them.
For those unaware:
I'm pregnant and have a meeting at 11am Tuesday (GMT + 10) with the head obstetrician at my local hospital.
My first two pregnancies medical staff at this hospital have tried to bully and scare me into unnecessary medical intervention in my pregnancy and labour and have succeeded (I have had two unnecessary caesareans) and the same thing has happened this pregnancy. In this meeting I need to make it clear to the head obstetrician that I will not be consenting to routine hospital policy just for the sake of it, but that I will only accept medical intervention for my pregnancy and labour if it is truly necessary for my own health or the health of my baby.
I'm not worried they will succeed in bullying me again cause I am a much different woman from the woman I was the first two pregnancies, but I would love for those of you who wish to, to pray for the meeting that I will be able to remain relaxed, confident, articulate, polite and gracious.
I really don't like confrontation and this will be the first time I have needed to make my position clear and my midwife assures me it will be no walk in the park.
Thank you for your time reading this.
