Mask

Inside my soul I weep
A hollow hurt heart
A lonely old loss
In a cave
My friends see I'm brave and strong
They're wrong

Inside my heart I cry
A sad dark thought
A pained sore wound
In a box
My friends see my laugh and smile
It's denial

Inside my head I scream
A disturbed nightmare
A empty place
In a cage
My friends see my confident thought
It's nought

Inside my mask I hide
A broken dream
A ugly guilt
In a trap
My friends see my made up face
It's base

But
Inside my faith I sit
A stretched hand
A shared pain
In a warmth
This friend sees the truth in me
I'm free

It's Jesus

That's an awesome poem! I love how you structured it...How the lines from phrase to phrase follow similar form; I really like how you did that. Great imagery.
Illustrates well the experiences only Christ can deliver us from.
