Marketing Volunteers

Discussion in 'News Stand' started by Chad, Mar 28, 2015.

  1. Greetings TJ Community...

I'm looking for ways to improve this community / ministry's reach and engagement using as many methods as possible. I've tried many ways over the years, experimenting and fiddling with ideas.

Some of the sure effective ways, but at times costly are
    1. Paid advertisements
    2. Social Media Shares
      • Share links to threads, pictures, media (videos)
    3. Weekly Newsletter
I'm asking you to join me in this ministry effort. There are a few things I am looking for volunteers to assist me with

    Awesome Graphics
High quality, modern graphics. Built around Instragram's square resolution of 600x600 (better yet, 1200x1200 for retina quality). Some examples would be like the ones below. They're beautiful, Scriptural, visually appealing and simply attractive.

    Inspiring 15 Second Videos

    How You Can Help...
Ok, are you a graphic designer and/or video editor that can volunteer to create graphics like the above? Your help would a blessing not only to me, but more importantly to this community and ministry. We're here to spread the Gospel (Matthew 28:19). If you are not a graphic designer or video pro, do you know of any that may be willing to volunteer? I would be grateful if you posted this thread's link, or simply ask on your social media accounts like Twitter and Facebook for volunteers. Any help would be great. I'm looking to post these to Instragram and Facebook on a daily basis. That's the goal here. I would like a @talkjesus watermark as well on every graphic and video.

Thanks in advance for your support!

  2. Shared and trying to convince one friend of mine if she likes to contribute her passion making graphics. Now, she‘s asking how to do it :). \O/

Hopes she decides to join the community. Amen!

  3. Greetings everyone.

I appreciate everyone's support. So far however, no one has contacted me to volunteer for this project. Please continue asking around. I'm not ceasing in trying to accomplish my goal of extending our reach to the masses. With God, all things are possible.

  4. Greetings,

Here is as far and wide as my online 'network ' extends, Chad.
I used to do a bit of picture stuff and really enjoyed it but for now I have had to resort to using a tablet which so far is a challenge in itself! Meaning that doing pictures is for me a desktop job. In time I might be able to set up my PC and then of course time itself is needed to put together good quality posters. I had some pretty good programs that ran on Linux and if I really had to I could crank up an old Windows machine and use some compatible software with that but I am sorry that for now I can't help much in that department.

    Reasonably good for nothing!

    BUT I can pray
and I encourage everyone to pray also.

    Thanks Chad!

    Bless you ....><>

  5. Hi! Ummm, I'll giving you both a straight-up and sincere answer:
Yes, I have created marketing materials, brochures, pamphlets, etc ... and also full size 36" x 24" Posters too. I'm both an very experienced Web Site developer and E-Learning Designer. I'm also skilled at editing audio/visual media. However, this past November I semi-retired myself from my owned business.
Nevertheless, I'm not what one might acknowledge as a 'graphic artist' per se. I don't have sufficient creative juices nor the imagination to be anything near an 'artist'. Frankly, I'm more of an 'image manipulator' than a graphic artist. When I've been desperate for 'originality', I've relied on my business's graphic artist. (Unfortunately, she isn't a Christian and it would take much coaxing to have her volunteer ... the best that I can do is promise that I'll try to drag her into this need ... but, don't be holding yer breath about that. (By the way, my graphic artist has been deaf from birth. I've often thought that her lack of hearing is an excellent parable concerning our Gospel; she's a natural picture of the spiritual reality of the Scripture saying: "We have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them.") When Jennifer was being interviewed for the graphic artist position, I had asked her what was the thing she most desired. Her reply completely astounded me. She said, "I wish that I could hear my father's voice!:" Now, if that isn't a parable about countless many, I don't know what is!
Until my semi-retirement, I've always been very positive about volunteering my talents to the needful and charities at no cost, (for both Christians and non-Christians). So, it's not as if you're imposing some strange request on me. Nevertheless, please note that I'm of advanced age and not so much, as they say, 'on-the-ball' as in prior more energetic days. :)
If you wish, I can easily temporarily post sample images and posters to my private stolenspirit Site for you to preview. Jus' let me know. If you wish to see a sample of my audio/visual skill sets, you can visit YouTube and view a Project which was done for a client a year 'er so ago. As project manager, I was instrumental in all facets of this Project, including the employ of musicians and the production of the CD and other peripherals such as T-Shirts/Mugs. (Strangely enough, my identical twin brother is a published poet and he's the one who composed the lyrics to the background music of the video while musing Sting's melody titled, "Every Move You Make". The business name of ECYM is the combined abbreviation of both "Every Call You Make" and "E-Learning Courses You Manage". :)
