I cannot bear to read about Jesus' torture and crucifixion without tears and shame at what we are. How could we whom He came to help and love, do that to Him? He never harmed anyone, only healed and continues to heal all who ask. So what are we?
We as humans are all guilty. We continue to do cruel things to each other in word or deed.I believe we will never learn. Every day as soon as anyone annoys us we react with anger. On personal and national and worldwide levels, we show our aggression.
I despair. The news is daily filled with bad things happening or utter nonsense. God is rejected, selfish pursuit of happiness is rife. Even the best of humans is a sinful wretch. The worst being those who think they are good and right.
Do you see hope?
