1) LOOKING FOR JEREMIAH

Chapter one

- Jeremiah was a priest !

- The word of God came to him in the days of Josiah and Jehoiakim and Zedekiah, three kings of Judah until jerusalem went into exile !

- This chapter is interesting in that God says he knew him before he was born and before he was in the womb of his mother !

- He was to be a prophet to the nations !

- We don’t know anything about his parents !

- He told God he was but a boy and didn’t know how to speak !

- But God didn’t give him any choice !

- He wanted him to to go to people and tell them his word !

- He would save him !

- God is telling Jeremiah that he will tell God’s word to the nations !

- But it will be mainly words of DESTRUCTION !

- And just at the end, there are two small positive verbs !

- BUILD AND PLANT !

- It seems really strange after four verbs of destruction !

3) LOOKING FOR JEREMIAH

Jeremiah 1

- Then God asks Jeremiah what he sees !

- Jeremiah answers by saying that he sees :

- A branch of an almond tree !

- A boiling pot !

What do almond trees represent?

Highly revered in many cultures, the almond symbolizes watchfulness and promise of new life, as this tree is the first to burst into bloom in many countries. For the Jews, the almond branch was the model for the menorah, and for the Christians, it is a symbol of Jesus' virgin birth.9 abr 2012

Spring Blossoms in Art: The Symbol of Life — ArtCorner - overstockArt.com

https://www.overstockart.com › blog › spring-blossoms-in

What does almond tree mean in Hebrew?

The Hebrew name for the almond (sha-KED) and for the tree (Eitz haSha-KED or shkaydiYAH) coincidentally has the same root letters as a verb meaning “to be eager, alert, awake, diligent, ready to act.”

What is the meaning of the boiling pot in the Bible?

The giant boiling pot, tilted from the north so as to pour its contents over Judah, symbolized a foreign army entering Judah from the north and overrunning the country. This was a judgment brought about by God because of Judah's idolatry (13-16).

4) LOOKING FOR JEREMIAH

Jeremiah 1

- God says that the kingdoms of the north will set up their thrones at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem !

- But not only against Jerusalem but also against all the cities of Judah !

- And God says why !

- It is about his judgments against their wickedness !

- Because they abandoned him !

- Because they worship other gods !

- Who is concerned !

- EVERYBODY: KINGS OF JUDAH, THE PRIESTS, THE PEOPLE !

- IT IS DIFFICULT TO BE MORE CLEAR !

- BUT USUALLY PEOPLE ARE DEAF AND BLIND WHEN IT IS INTERESTING FOR THEM !

- BUT IT IS NOT GOING TO LAST !

- THUS ISRAEL AND HUMANITY : SAME FIGHT !

- THE RESULT IS NOT GOING TO BE POSITIVE AT ALL !

Similar when applied to Moses who resisted being a prophet

Exodus 4:10-12 King James Version10 And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord? Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

Yes, an excellent teaching tool Teaches us how God who is not served by human hands as a will sends out his prophecy through his apostles.

An interpretation law as a tool that applies to all apostles sent with prophecy. God putting his thoughts on their lips and then watches to make sure the words have the unseen understanding intended. (as almond fruit) In that way he spoke in parables hiding the spiritual not seen understanding from the lost.

Jerimiah 1:9 Then the Lord put forth his hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

He works in us to give us his authoritative understanding in matters of our new born- again faith. The unseen eternal (rod of a almond tree)

Numbers 17:7-9King James Version7 And Moses laid up the rods before the Lord in the tabernacle of witness. And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds And Moses brought out all the rods from before the Lord unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

To make sure mankind does not attribute the words of the apostles sent with prophecy to the apostle and not in respect the unseen sender he developed a ceremonial law. The Holy Spirit uses a unclean animal to represent the unredeemed that must come under the hearing of Christ faith, using a lamb or they are to be killed.

Exodus 13:13 And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.

Again to emphasize he is not served by the dying hands as a will of mankind, he uses the unredeemed unclean to stop the madness of the false prophet Balaam .

Striking him with the rod of an almond tree, the staff of eternal life of final authority. like Jerimiah watching to perform his good will.

Numbers 22:27-29King James Version27 And when the ass saw the angel of the Lord, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.28 And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.

There Balaam the false apostle, false prophet threatened to kill the messenger in hope of killing Christ the Holy Spirit

- You completely right!

- When reading the words of jeremiah, it reminded me of Moses!

- incredible words!

- And powerful words!

- And inspiring words!

- Quite similar to the holy spirit!

- God touched his mouth with his hand!

- What an incredible strong relationship to God!
