Living in the Moment?

The Bible describes that we are experiencing afflictions in this time-based world, but these afflictions are only for a “MOMENT”.

2Co 4:17 For OUR LIGHT AFFLICTION, WHICH IS BUT FOR A MOMENT, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

A “moment” is a fragment, or segment of time that is only “temporary”, and does not last. Thank God our afflictions are only temporary and will pass away quickly.

There is another kind of “MOMENT” that will never pass away, and is ever present with us!!! God's Kingdom of light is ever present and is eternal where time does not exist. There is only one “MOMENT” there because time does not pass from moment to moment!

The Bible describes a “moment” in which we will all be changed from having a physical body to a supernatural spiritual body.

1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52 IN A MOMENT, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

The word, “MOMENT” here means something that can not be subdivided into anything less then what it already is. This moment is so fast it is always “now” !! The Kingdom of God which is a “NOW” Kingdom operates on a “language” that is also always NOW!! Faith is the official language of the Kingdom of Heaven in which all born again believers have been translated into!! (Col 1:13)

Heb 11:1 NOW FAITH is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The scriptures tell us to “call to remembrance the former days in which after we were enlightened we endured a great fight of afflictions...”

Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Heb 10:32 But CALL TO REMEMBRANCE THE FORMER DAYS, IN WHICH, AFTER YE WERE ILLUMINATED, YE ENDURED A GREAT FIGHT OF AFFLICTIONS;
Heb 10:33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
Heb 10:34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and TOOK JOYFULLY THE SPOILING OF YOUR GOODS, KNOWING IN YOURSELVES THAT YE HAVE IN HEAVEN A BETTER AND AN ENDURING SUBSTANCE.

Paul is telling a group of people to recall that “moment” in which after God enlightened them their understanding of the Kingdom of God, and as a result, they took joyfully the confiscation of their goods!! This was a part of their great afflictions, but what they knew, and their understanding of God, and his Kingdom that he had revealed to them far exceeded their earthly possessions!! Wisdom and understanding are more valuable than silver, gold, or precious stones!!

We do not have to constantly remind our self's of the “moments” in the past in which after the Lord God revealed himself to us, in our times of afflictions as we can always be mindful of them all the time!!

Walking in the Spirit happens when our hearts, and minds are constantly set on the things of the Spirit of God. There will always be joy unspeakable and full of Glory to those who keep their hearts set on him no matter what the situations are that befall them. (Isa 26:3)

Living in the “MOMENT” is always “NOW”, and can only be done by “FAITH”!!
