You have died and your life is hid with Christ in God - Colossians 3 : 3

Your life with all its past is hid with Jesus, and forgiven. Your life, with its future potential, is hid with Jesus for the development and thrilling potential of the life of Gods Holy Spirit in you and in me.

Now I am not concerned to define with theological terminology what that union with Christ in death, and in His risen life means. But I am concerned that the principles of that truth, put into action, are the secret of how the Chrstian revolution can spread worldwide

'Seek the things which are above'.....'slay what is earthly in you' - live to die. And 'put off, put away wrath, anger, malice, slander and foul talk.... put off the old nature with its practices; put on the new.....'(vv8-14) Live to die. Die that you might live.

But we say, thats absolutely impossible! Of course!

From a human point of view it is absolutely absurd for me to ever imagine that I could put off all that, and put on the other. But from God's point of view it is absolutely natural. For God destines each one of us to be supernaturally natural, ....and to be naturally supernatural,
and therefore He says 'Seek the things which are above...Slay that which is earthly in you'

The Christian has a life and death experience going on at the same time. Romans 8 :2 "The law of the spirit of life in Christ hath set me free from the law of sin and death"

The principle which lead me into sin before I was born again, is replaced by another , which is to lead me into victory. But I must 'seek' and I must 'set' and I must 'slay'

I am no more a Chrisatian, and neither are you, than my life is an expression of the cross of Christ and the passion of Jesus.
