LIGHT AND DARKNESS
He shines the light and the darkness goes away.
He shines the light inside of my heart.
He shines the light to illuminate my way.
He shines the light and the darkness falls apart.
Since Jesus came inside my way is always bright.
Since Jesus came inside even in the night.
Jesus is the way the truth and the light.
With Him guiding me the way is always right.
Jesus is the Truth and truth is always true.
Against Truth there’s nothing the Devil can do.
His lies are exposed when truth shines anew.
As he runs, and he hides without a clue.
He shines the light and the darkness goes away.
He shines the light inside of my heart.
He shines the light to illuminate my way.
He shines the light and the darkness falls apart.
He shines the light with the Spirit inside.
My shame Is all gone, I have no need to hide.
At the end of time I will be Christ’s Bride.
And with the Father in heaven forever we will abide.
When I feel depressed, when I’m afraid
He pulls me to the light and away from the shade
He does this despite the mistakes I have made
Even though I sin, His love for me won’t fade
He shines the light and the darkness goes away.
He shines the light inside of my heart.
He shines the light to illuminate my way.
He shines the light and the darkness falls apart.
He does it though I’m not fair of form or face
He does it all entirely by Grace
I deserve a one way ticket to the hellish place
But His love cleanses me and makes me part of heaven’s race
So when I ‘m depressed, when I’m feeling bad
Or frustrated, angry, furiously mad
I remember other times He solved the problems that I had
Though it often seemed hopeless, He soon had me glad
