While watching my daughter be put on a ventilator due to a collapsed lung I realized how much of what my daughter was going through is what we go through in our life with Jesus. Jesus is the very breath we breathe. He is the breath of life. When we have un-confessed sin in our lives it is like Annahs collapsed lung. We can not take the breath of Jesus in. The longer we go with out confessing our sins the more we struggle to breathe and then our lungs runs the risk of collapsing causing us to loose the very life support we need. Just as Annah was put on a ventilator to help her breath so does Jesus when we confess our sins. Our lungs become re-inflated. Being able to breathe in the very breath of Jesus.
