How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog--it's here a little while, then it's gone. James 4:14
At the end of your life you don’t get a mulligan, do-over, or a divine reset in an attempt to get it right. You have one life to make the decisions you need to make to determine your place in eternity. Your time on earth isn’t an end game, it’s a potent beginning. If you only live for what you can get here, you’re missing out on the preparation for what’s to come.
Life is life grass—here for a season and gone. Life is like fog—visible and impacting for a short period of time. Life is shorter than you realize, yet long enough that you’re sometimes convinced to put off making the kind of decisions that must be made today.
You can choose to do things your own way or you can find out what God wants you to do. You can determine your own truth or you can consult the God of all truth. You can live as through this life is all there is or you can discover this life is a small step into forever.
The only redeemable promises and guarantees you have in life are God-made. He promised to be with you. He guarantees Christians an eternal home with Him. There’s no good reason to intentionally separate yourself from God. Life is short, so choose Him.
