Let Me LIVE

(I observed a debate this morning about 'where and how we must worship God' amongst those in another arena, and I wrote some of this in response.)

This subject brought to mind the words "Let Me Live" - and the words of Paul when He said:

"Are you so foolish? Having started out with the Spirit, are you now ending up with the flesh?"

What is he speaking of, but Spiritual abortion? These were born of the Spirit, were being fed and nourished by the Spirit, were growing in the Spirit, are finding fellowship in the Spirit, and then someone came along with human rules and teaching, that caused them to wind up trying to find their spiritual life in the flesh. (Paul calls human teaching the doctrines [tools] of demons for good reason, their sole purpose is to cause you to be aborted from your Spiritual life)

Whether or not those born of the Spirit [KEY] meet in a particular house, on a particular day, at a particular time, with particular people is no measuring rod for true fellowship or worship of God.

That is as foolish as demanding your natural brothers & sisters all meet at your house on a Sunday, (every Sunday- and maybe a few weekdays too at YOUR command) and if they don`t, accusing them of isolating themselves and forsaking the family.

The measuring rod can only be the life giving Spirit of God. That is the umbilical cord of every Son and Daughter of God. If you have the Spirit of God, you have life, and that life flows in and out of you, making you part of the fellowship of everyone else who is born of the Spirit. You cant go anywhere to find this, it is a state of being!

A woman asks Jesus, "where should we GO to worship?"
Christ answered "neither here nor there nor anywhere in particular" (paraphrased of course :`)

Joh 4:23 "But the time is coming and is already here, when by the power of God's SPIRIT people will worship the Father as he really is, offering him the true worship that he wants. God is Spirit, and only by the power of his Spirit can people worship him as he really is."

1Jn 1:7 " IF we live in the light---just as he is in the light---then we HAVE fellowship with one another."

Does that say living in the Light assures me of fellowship, or going to the Light (bulb) is my assurance of fellowship?

John 3:8 "The wind blows wherever it wishes; you hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. It is like that with everyone who is born of the Spirit."

So it can be truthfully said, those born of the Spirit, go WHEREVER the Spirit wishes to take them. Notice the Father insists on being the ONE doing the dictating.

If one family member insists on dictating the 'particulars' of the whereabouts of another on a Sunday morning, or any other day of the week, that family member has MISSED THE POINT of being led by the Spirit.

Rom 12:1 So then, my friends, because of God's great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a LIVING sacrifice to God, dedicated to HIS SERVICE and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer.

[Here I am Lord, use me however YOU wish]

Note* If your only idea of "SERVICE" is sitting all polished up on an air conditioned pew, you might not want to pray that prayer, because Father may request your SERVICE mowing an elderly man`s lawn next Sunday etc etc...

...And if you do "offer" yourself to God, understand He may lead you to some strange places, to do strange things...but we arn`r supposed to be conforming to mans acceptable ways to live anyways :`)

Rom 12:2 Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God---what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.

Heb 13:14 For here we have no fixed resting-place, [our resting place is neither a day, or a 'church' building!] but our search is for the one which is to come. Let us then make offerings of praise to God at ALL times through him, THAT IS TO SAY, the fruit of lips giving witness to his name. But go on doing good and giving to others, because God is well-pleased with such offerings.
