Lessons from the Eagle....

Why is change needed???

The eagle has the longest life-span of its' species

It can live up to 70 years

But to reach this age, the ?eagle must make a hard decision

In its' 40's

Its' long and flexible talons can no longer grab prey which serves as food

Its' long and sharp beak becomes bent

Its' old-aged and heavy wings, due to their thick feathers, become stuck to its' chest and make it difficult to fly

Then, ?the eagle is left with only two options: die or go through a painful process of change which lasts 150 days.

The process requires that the eagle fly to a mountain top and sit on its' nest

There the eagle knocks its' beak against a rock until it plucks it out

After plucking it out, the eagle will wait for a new beak to grow back and then it will pluck out its' talons

When its' new talons grow back, the eagle starts plucking its' old-aged feathers

And after five months, the eagle takes its' famous flight of rebirth and lives for ...

30 more years

"Stand up for what you believe in, even if it means standing alone!!

Amazing......Never knew that.

Wonder of it relates to Isaiah 40 v 31

"But those who wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength, They shall mount up with wings like eagles......."

Wow this is quite interesting, I didn't know this.

Getting rid of the old to be replaced by the new - this is like becoming more and more like Jesus although it takes a lifetime not just 150 days.

Being renewed must be a desire for all Christians and if we can do like the eagle and give God the time and opportunity to replace the old us with the new us, He will achieve what He intended for our life's more easily.

Great post, I learned something new today.

Blessings!

Lessons from the Eagle....(2)

By John Mark

When eaglets are born the nest is large, soft and comfortable. Then, after an appropriate time, the mother eagle begins removing some of the soft lining, exposing the thorns, brambles and twigs.

With each passing day, the nest becomes more uncomfortable as the mother eagle throws out padding. She then makes loud noises, flapping her wings and forcing the baby birds to walk in the rough and sharp surfaces.

Then the day comes when mother shoves her eaglets from the nest. They fall uncontrollably until, just before they hit the ground, dad swoops down and scoops them up. This process is repeated until the little guys are able to fly all by themselves.

Thanks for updating, it sounds just like my life and now I understand why everything seems so difficult sometime, God wants me to rise like the eagle but He must get me out of the nest first.
Great it means I can really fly, hope I learn to soar very soon.

You're a star, thanks a lot.:girl_hug:

Blessings!
