Christmas is a time of family gatherings. It is a time of sharing stories of recent events and reminiscing about family times long past. It is a time of traditions like decorating Christmas trees and baking cookies. As you gather together with loved ones during the holidays or reminisce about past gatherings while on your own, this is a perfect time to think about the legacy of faith your family is building.
There’s no better place to begin a legacy than with the arrival of Jesus Christ. Make it a point to read Luke 2 aloud with someone this year. Rejoice together that God’s love provided a Savior for a world that didn’t deserve saving.
Do your utmost to live peaceably with your friends and families during the stressful times that holidays bring. Speak truth in love and share the Gospel with the lost people you know.
Walk in the truth of God’s love this Christmas and you will do more than spread joy to the world. You will give God joy as well.
