Leaves without fruits.

There is the story in Mark 11:12-14,20 that should strike the heart of any of us that is in the service of The Lord, or have decided to forllow Christ.
In the story The Lord to a fig tree with a desire to get some fruits from it. He was probably hungry and hoped that the fig tree would bring satisfaction to Him. But alas, the tree had only leaves and no fruits. Can you imagine that The Lord must have been deceived looking at the tree from afar and thinking that if it had such wonderful leaves it should also have fruits. But it was a deception.
Many christians, and even leaders in the Church, are also full of wonderful activities without the life and characterof Christflife that should bring satisfaction to the heart of Jesus. People see us everywhere and doing so many wonderful thing, surposedly for the Lord, without their motive being to bring glory to Jesus and Jesus alone.
That is why the Lord said that it is not all that calls Him Lord that shall enter the Kingdom of God.
So let us not only have leaves but also fruits.

Look for love - it is the first fruit listed and is a genuine manifestation of the Lord's heart in us.

May we all thrive to live what we preach and share, and avoid being the fig tree with leaves but no fruits. We were created with a purpose and destiny. God's best work still lies ahead for us....

Yes it is so that only they that do the will of His Father shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; because He said so, and His Word´s shall never pass away. And we as trees when we are seen at a distance, may appear righteous outwardly, but when other´s come near, our true self or fruit shows up for what it truly is. Again, Christ tells us that corrupt fruit cannot be on a good tree, but in this secular world that is the standard, and unfortunately many churhces also use this standard to conduct themselves. But once and again, what Christ has spoken shall not pass away; and it is His Word´s that shall judge us in the last day.

Leaves without fruit can also mean not enough water or nutrients (Spirit and Word?) or possibly disease (sin?).

In addition, we know that according to Scripture, all genuine believers bear fruit. Some more than others, but fruit nonetheless. A couple of good references are Luke 8:15 and Matthew 13:8. I appreciate you. Have a great weekend. Doc
