Hurting can be so painful, the wonder of why can be over powering
Why would God want to hurt the children He sent His Son to die for
Thorns can be so painful when walking through a briar patch

Forgiving can be so hard when we get a Judas kiss on the cheek
Who can forgive when getting whipped beaten and strung up on a tree
Father Forgive them they know not what they do is what Jesus said

Healing starts with coming alive, living the life Christ gave
So wake up, get up, start looking up at the one who saves
Keep looking up as He’s watching over you

When Jesus walked out on the water He said do not be afraid
We’ll stubble we’ll fall but, when we turn our eyes back on Jesus
That’s when we’ll walk on our troubles, so Keep Looking Up

Hurting maybe painful, forgiving maybe hard, Healing may seem impossible
Always looks that way when looking down and away from Jesus our Lord
Keep Looking Up at Jesus and feel the hurt go away and the healing start

Thank you so much for that poem.

I actually started looking down, back to my past and hurts.
And reading this just , just pushed all those feelings way.
I'm not sure why I went back there, but I know keeping my eyes up.

Feels a lot better.

Pain is never purposeless and if we keep Looking Up at Jesus and feel the hurt go away and the healing start (as your poem says), that's when we will have victory.

No matter how many times you get knocked down, keep getting back up. God sees your resolve. He sees your determination. And when you do everything you can do, that’s when God will step in and do what you can’t do!
