Kissing during dating???

hi everyone

when the bible speaks of fornication is kissing included ?

for me i'm not sure but i don't believe in kissing during dating. shouldn't your wife or husband be the first person u kiss in that really personal way
besides what is the reason people kiss
ummm...yeah well .....i dont really think there is anything against kissing....
i mean why not??its nothing bad...but yeah everyone has to know for him/herself
what he/she wants to do..like kiss or not...
hope u get what im trying to say....
god bless
I was told by a pastor that kissing is God's gift to dating couples and penetration sex to a married couple. When u date u are practicing for marriage. Why do u date if u cant see yourself marrying that person. Kising is a way of showing love to one another. Personally I dnt think it's wrong BUT wouldnt it be cool to marry a never been kissed person....

But I kiss my boyfriend.....

I think scientific reason is that before we had knives and forks mothers would chew the food for their toddlers. So that they wouldn't choke on it before their teeth had come through. It was a completely innocent nurturing action that we no longer have the need to do (thank the Lord for high speed food blenders). From this innocent nurturing action developed the kiss to show/symbolize affection from one person to another.

God Bless :kiss2:
hi thankful  like your nick

i dont have scripture to back you up on this toppic. . .i will search some though . . never really thought about it and i think its an interesting question

i just wanna mention my thought: Kissing can be very innocent. . .and kissing can be very erotic. . .

Sooooooooooo . . .

if you really wanted to shine the light on this subject. . .you could almost call kissing a beginner-drug

kissing can be innocent. . .saying hi . . and bye
. . . .saying thankyou or just expressing the joy of the moment kind of feeling
thats cute and i dont see no problems in any of this kissing

kissing can be erotic. . . finding a quiet place with your partner. . .taking time just for kissing . . finding out about each other. . .playing around and feeling and hearing your partner getting excited. . .THIS COULD LEAD TO MORE THAN KISSING

you see my point??

you could fall for more than kissing . . .or your partner . . .and then you cant stop or feel pressured into more. . .and then what do you do before God. . .where is it leading you to. . .these are the moments where you want to study more about being pure and clean before God in your heart, mind, body and soul

 hope this doesnt shock nobody  just trying to make a point  God bless you and guide you in your heart while deciding in the most difficult but beautiful moments of your life

As long as you are respectful to others when you are in public ie you do not make others feel awkward and if lust starts to enter into the affection you are showing then like at all other times you distract yourself from it and take yourself out of the situation. Remember this and you will be fine.

God Bless :kiss2:
Yeah, Kissing during dating is fine I think, but just nothing full-on. Just remember when dating to set boundaries, like not laying down next to each other and things like that.
God Bless ya!

i think it depends on what kind of kissing ur talking about. u can actually place kissing in two different categories. when kissing starts to take over the relationship and ur drugged to it then that when u've got ur problem.
I realised that my boy friend and I almost never kiss during dates maybe a few pecks but thats it and were very happy we actually gonna try to kiss at least once from now on this is very wierd for a 10 month old relationship or is it normal? We so inlove that just sittting in the same room is amazing. We live about 15 min away from each other and he is writing final exams so at the moment we see each other on a sat night and sun night for church...

But God keeps us strong...
Did you know that Scripture is completely silent on dating?

Dating is a cultural phenomenon.

Scripture speaks volumes on "relationships".

"Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity." 1 Timothy 5:1-2

This calls women to treat men as brothers, and calls men to treat women as sisters--WITH ABSOLUTE PURITY. Not "some" but "absolute".

"Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us." 1 Peter 2:11-12

The most important thing I can say is to GUARD YOUR HEART. If kissing leads your heart or YOUR MIND places you know it shouldn't be, then BY ALL MEANS stay away from kissing!

Proverbs 4:23 -- "Above all else, guard your heart,.."

Check this out as well--

Ephesians 5:3 -- "But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality..."

If kissing leads your heart or mind into sin [ie. thoughts, desires] you should steer clear of it altogether. I find it hard to believe you can kiss anyone without sparking a desire. Most people call that the "it-was-like-kissing-my-brother" feeling.

Once again something important to look at is your heart!

"The heart is deceitful above all things
and beyond cure.
Who can understand it?" Jeremiah 17:9

Ladies-- you want a man you will treat you with ABSOLUTE purity.

Guys -- treat the leadies with absolute purity

BOTH-- Guard your own hearts, but also be attempting to guard the hearts of EACH OTHER.

I don't think kissing is evil or even close, but I know that kissing can and will spark desire eventually depending on the circumstances.

Pray to God and ask Him if you still seem to be having questions. AND Pray about these Scripture passages as well. Maybe God just wanted to speak some more truths into your life right now concerning WHY you are choosing to abstain from the "k" word.

1 Thesselonians 5:17 -- "Pray continually."

Peace in Christ,
Kissing is a form of trust. That's all it is. If you trust your spouse so much that you are certain u want to be his partner FOR LIFE, then you should trust him that when he/she kisses you, it's a form of love and warm greeting.

It's hard to define what kissing means. Personally, kissing is like a form of art, there are many ways to interpret it but the true meaning only recides with the true author (in this case, the kisser). If he/she meant it for a good purpose like showing that they appreciate one another or even treasure one another...then I think it's ABSOLUTELY alright! However, if it's an act of folly or some sort of desiring, then I think you should stop it before u ppl get addicted and start smooching and get to OTHER THINGS...that would be a serious case then.

Kissing is similar to hugging. You only hug people whom you are familiar with or are personally close to (for strict tradition customs or conservative religious reasons).

Lastly, if u're dating, bear in mind that intimacy activities usually lead to a higher level...for example, from just holding hands to having sex, it's a matter of involvement btwn two parties. Therefore, I would encourage only serious dating couples to be involved in kissing, no matter soft pecks or french kisses, just bear in mind that never let yourselves be distracted from the original purpose of kissing to kissing just to gratify the desires of the DEAD FLESH...

All in all, the decision lies with you...kiss or not, depends on you. If not, there are many other ways to show love and affection toward one another. Surely the Lord has not killed your creativity by only creating Kissing?!
I don t think kissing is wrong...but i do agree that it is what leads you into possible temptation
