Facts : The Scottish word "Ken" means "Know" in Scottish; and the Spanish word "Nada" means "Nothing" in Spanish.
Conclusion : The obvious conclusion therefore is that Leif Erikson, the man who discovered "Canada", must have had at least one Scot and one Spaniard on board his Viking ship when he did so; because you put them together, and you have "Kenada" which means "Know Nothing", and that is the name of a country where there is never a shortage of meatheads.

e.g. Stephen Harper, the National leader of the Conservative Party, in his first campaign for Prime Minister adopted a platform opposing "Same S-E-X- Marriage". When he lost that election to Paul Martin, he abbandoned that position because he thought it was unpopular with the electorate. Ralph Kline, the then Premier of Alberta, however, continued to speak out against "Same S-E-X Marriage", only to have Stephen Harper, tell him to stop, because Mr. Harper thought it was damaging the party's chances of getting elected.

I had to make a long distance phone call from Toronto, (a Liberal Party bastion), to Mr. Kline's office in Alberta, and getting an answering machine leave the following message to get things changed.

Message : "I am calling long distance from Toronto, so I will keep this brief. I am dirt poor, and a bit left of centre, and I never thought I would live to see the day when I would say that Ralph Kline is the only politician in the country who 'Gets It'. I am speaking about same s-e-x marriage. When Stephen Harper was running his federal campaign and he spoke of 'Defending the traditional definition of Marriage if elected', crowds were cheering him; and on the strength of that position he took an early lead in the polls. Then he mused about forming a majority government, and he began to speak about other things; rolling out the agenda as it were. Thats where he blew it, right there. Anyway, I just wanted to say to Mr Kline : Good man; Keep it up; Don't stop".

The result : Kline must have played that tape to Harper, the next time Harper landed on him for speaking against same sex marriage, because :
1) An article appeared in the newspapers saying that the Conservative party backroom stategists acknowledged that the election had been theirs to win, but they "Blew It".

2) The Conservative Party ran a poll on the subject and found that 67% of Kenadians were against same s-e-x Marriage.

3) Discussing same s-e-x marriage while being interviewed by reporters, Mr Harper said "I don't want to talk about OTHER THINGS".

4) Stephen Harper was reported in the media as saying : "We have got to move this party to the left"

5) Just prior to the following election, Conservative party strategists were quoted in the media as saying ":We won't be swinging for the fences this time".

6) Stephen Harper reversed himself yet again and again adopted an anti same s-e-x Marriage position; and this time having to some extent toned down his right wing positions, got elected.

If you need more proof than that, that Kenada seems to have more than its share of Meatheads in high places, Google "Dr Micheal Kutryk" - Internationally famous heart surgeon, rushing to St. Micheals Hospital to perform emergency surgery on a heart attack victim, - stopped by the police, and instead of given an escort, - given a speeding ticket!! And the chief of police said "The officer did the right thing"!!
