My name is Linda and I am a Christian. I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ latter day Saints, also called MORMONS. I know that God lives and Jesus is our savior. The love of our father in heaven is so big that she seems to be immense. And btw., I'm single.

Welcome to the forum, Linda! May God richly bless you as you walk with Him!

Welcome aboard Linda,
Pray that you will find the truth in Christ Jesus, and be born again as a BA Christian
TJ is a good site to begin.

What have I done to you? I am a member of the CoJCoLDS. I have a sister who is a BA Christian. She lives in Crescent, Oklahoma. She has refused every contact to me because I am a member of the church. I accept her faith as Christian, but she, however, do not accept my faith. But tolerance is not a one-way street. Please respect my faith as I respect your faith. So no more conversion try. Ok?

What exactly did I say that you have issue with? Read what I wrote carefully along with your response in your own bio on being born again. You yourself said not as a BA Christian would mean.

Since you seem to know the difference. What is the difference?

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also [trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

I sorry that you and your sister don't communicate. Regardless of the reason. That is something you and I do share. I pray that one day you and her may be reconciled.

Every Christian religion has her unusual features. E.g. no women may become priests in the RCC. Mary as a mother of God, however, is very admired, just as many saints. The focus on certain teachings is put in Protestant churches. I only mention baptism, Sabbath sanctification and other things. My church which refers to Jesus Christ like many other churches also; also has some unusual features. These are differences but no separating differences. Is a Roman Catholic Christian less Christian as an a Protestant or a member of my church because he prays to virgin Mary? I do not think so. And only I wanted to clarify this.
All of us are no matter to which church we belong and what we believe in Christ. Christ is the ribbon which connects us.

So long as that ribbon is really there, I would agree. Unfortunately, some people have already pre-determined that members of some certain groups... often including yours (and LOL mine)... cannot find salvation while remaining in those groups. Too much emphasis, I believe, is put by too many people on doctrine over heart. Doctrine is important but it must be secondary in every case to heart.

Give God the glory!

There were two reports about Amish people on television today. The living of two families was shown, these both were excommunicated. Excommunicated because they wanted to read the Bible with others. Something the church elder had forbidden. It was all about that these families should be obedient opposite the church elders. For me this is a characteristic of a sect if an absolute obedience is demanded by you.
Are the Amish Christians? I think yes. Also if I would never live their way of live; I accept their right anyway to admire God just like they regard it as right.

Didn't like the question?

Realize one thing. I'm not comparing you or what you believe in to anything but scripture. My love for you is not based on our agreeing on certain things or anything for that matter.

Keep in mind that if I were to go to an LDS site, I would expect them to quote from the BOM and that their statement of faith would support their beliefs. The same would be said for any of the worlds religions who have sites, regardless of whether I agreed with them or not.

Which really leads to the question at hand. Have you read the statement of faith of TJ? If not, I've provided a link below so that you may do so.

My intent is not to chase you off, but rather to have an honest discussion.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

You seek tolerance for your beliefs as does everyone. However, not all beliefs can be reconciled. The similarity in some requires an understanding of certain definitions, or concepts i.e. "Born Again" So my question since your writing implied that you know what that difference is.
